I have a fried of mine who is selling his S8 plus for only $150. I ask why. And here's what:
1. The screen itself has burn in. It also has two black spots on the edge of the screen.
2. Starts to lag after 4 months of usage. The culprit is the toucwiz. And the OS.
3. Battery from first usage is great. But has greatly reduced and only last 6 hours of normal usage.
So for the grand total for the repair of the screen and the battery? $300. And that doesn't even include the number 2 problem.

No doubt the iPhone x is one solid piece of tech but the back and home gestures are a nuisance, way more than the fingerprint sensors on the galaxy flagships.

It also stands to reason that this is just a f**king phone, not something to be proud of like an offspring that functions enough to ensure your generation actually has a chance at survival. This is the timeline we chose to live in, instead of getting a few cheap laptops at that price or even a used car, let's spend it on a phone that we can't even maintain but costs the same as a two year old gaming pc.
