Those who voted not are jealous IOS fanps
TheProperGentleman, 05 Nov 2017I voted for hot. Yes, it lacks the headphone jack. Yes، it has bezels. Yes, it lacks a headpho... moreSo Apple, Samsung, Sony, HTC, Xiaomi,Huawei,Google pixel and Motorola are removing the 3.5mm headphone jack. However, let me remind you one thing...if these companies knew earlier that there was a 2.5mm headphone jack, they could have move on on using a smaller headphone jack.I mean there was actually a 2.5mm headphone jack back in the 90s!!! Only Nokia and sony Ericsson have done that in the early 2000s. And let me give you a clear explanation why 2.5mm headphone jack is a great idea!!!
1. Saves up a lot of space!!!
2. The audio quality is far the best!!!
3. You don't need a freaking " DONGLE" or Bluetooth headphones to plug in if you don't have a headphone jack.
4. Most airlines's headphone are only equipped 2.5mm headphone jack for IFE entertainment. So if you want to connect your phone, then its too bad, too sad!!!
5. In concerts, most DJ player use DJ headphones that are only 2.5mm headphone jack. There were no 3.5mm headphone jack or 6.3mm jack either.
We only wish if companies were smarter enough to replace the 3.5 into 2.5mm rather than the adapters or a "DONGLE"!!!. Sadly, the 2.5mm becomes very limited as 3.5mm jack are on the horizons.
Really hot!!
Exactly what I wanted!
It may not be the ultimate like it claims. But its definitely up there and very reasonably priced with some nice goodies.
xXENDER FREAKXx, 06 Nov 2017I wouldn't call it a "gaming" smartphone to be honest, since the only standout feature is the ... moreYou just listed four features that are both unique to this phone and could be considered gaming oriented. But you still refuse to call it a gaming phone?
Let's put it this way, it's the most gaming-centric phones in recent memory.
Kangal, 06 Nov 2017Good phone but:
- Add in Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box (longevity)
- Add in 3.5mm headph... moreOreo is coming
Agreed with 2 and 3
You can change resolution and frame refresh rate in settings
I love good front facing speakers. So TBH I don't mind that big bezels. A bit more stb ratio would be great but not that it's a con here
Nintendo probably has patents on Joy cons. A gamepad would make it too bulky
A mod though would be a great idea. But at that point I'd rather take switch and a 350-400$ phone
xXENDER FREAKXx, 06 Nov 2017I wouldn't call it a "gaming" smartphone to be honest, since the only standout feature is the ... moreAgree. Not for gaming phone. Hot for ordinary flagship phone. If they want to call this a gaming smartphone, it should include hardware gaming buttons or detechable keypad or something like that.
Anonymous, 06 Nov 2017Don't forget 10000 mAh battery, secondary screen at the back, dual selfie, subwoofer and more
... moreNah, then it would be more fragile, bulky, and cost $899.
Although I've suggested a lot of changes, these are reasonable changes that actually improve the overall device. However, I still don't understand why they didn't include two half-gamepads like on the Nintendo Switch/ZeeMote that can physically attach to the device for use. But be small enough to carry in your pocket when you need to stop gaming and get back to work.
seriously android fanboys are the worst.... this crappy razer phlne is HOT / SONY phones are HOT / LG V30 is HOT / HTC U11 is HOT. But no one is actually go out and buy one lol look at their sales number, those companies are bleeding badly.
Anonymous, 05 Nov 2017Hot? No
Same performance as OnePlus 5
120hz? I want see 100-120fps in game! If not, then why... moreHave you ever used a 120hz device before? One of the new IPad pros or a 120 hz monitor? The difference is night and day no matter what you're doing. Scrolling through social media becomes buttery smooth, and they're working with Tencent to move their huge MOBA into the US, as it is already really popular in Asia.
There is no reason to just trash random specs if ya haven't looked into what any of it means or implies dude.
Alien , 05 Nov 2017Humm good specs, BUT: - NO 3.5mm jack - NO waterproofing - only gorilla glass 3 (4,5?) T... moreGorilla glass 3 is more scratch resistant than 4 or 5, but can crack easier from drops. 4 and 5 are more difficult to shatter, but are much more prone to scratches. I prefer 3 over 4 or 5
Anonymous, 05 Nov 2017Hot? No Same performance as OnePlus 5 120hz? I want see 100-120fps in game! If not, then why... morethe smoothness from using your phone is noticeable on a 120hz sceen. one of those, you can't go back after you try it moments.
making a phone for gamers without a headphone jack...derp
harwey, 05 Nov 2017I believe that it`s quite refreshing to see new player on the market, especially in a flagship ... moreI wouldn't call it a "gaming" smartphone to be honest, since the only standout feature is the 120Hz display with manual clock speed controls and tweaking of resolution, and maybe another standout feature is the dual big Dolby Atmos front facing speakers. Other than that, the rest of it is just typical 2017 high-end flagship specifications. I can figure why they call it a "gaming" smartphone, one fact is that they are a gaming brand, they are into gaming for their laptops, but they shouldn't call the smartphone that though, given that most of the specifications are 2017 high-end flagship specifications. But still, we welcome the new high-end flagship RAZER phone to the smartphone world
Kangal, 06 Nov 2017Good phone but:

- Add in 3.5mm headph... moreDon't forget 10000 mAh battery, secondary screen at the back, dual selfie, subwoofer and more
Because we can
Good phone but:
- Add in Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box (longevity)
- Add in 3.5mm headphone aux port so they work with the DualDACs
- Add in IP68 ingress protection (see SGS7)
- Replace the Dual-cams with a Single-good camera like Pixel 1/2/U11/SGS8
- Downgrade screen to 1080p, which increases battery life and fps in games
- Shave some top-bottom bezel (73%->80% Screen to Body)
- Move the fingerprint reader to the back on the Razer logo
- Illuminate the Razer logo in RGB with software control (it acts like an LED notification)
- Add in bigger side buttons Power, Volume, Camera
....and lastly may be include a controller like the GameSir T1S in the box, one that is comfortable for extended use, has long battery life, can hold the phone when going mobile, has very minimal lag with wired and wireless connection, and also connects to phone/tablet/laptop/TV/console.
Considering ZTE Axon 7 will have a successor and would mostlikely be cheaper like less than 500 bucks, ill fo for that than this crap camera(no ois/eis), no jack, no ip rating for a $700 phone, no unique looks/ design and reminds me of Xperia phones w/c are now cheaper like less than $600/500 bucks that have better cameras/have jack/ip68/etc.
So yeah, gonna be another essential flop.
Bezels are far too big. They should have made them tiny and offerd a controller module where the phone fits into the center. Close but no cigar!!
Humm good specs, BUT:
- NO 3.5mm jack
- NO waterproofing
- only gorilla glass 3 (4,5?)
Too bad, I like the monolithic design.
