Your argument should concentrate on justifying insane price, unfortunately iPhone x does not do anything magical than competition, everyone has infinity displays these days and good dual cameras. If you take Note 8 it has much more productivity with S pen and iPhone x does not have nothing like that and it is most expensive phone ever. Your face id is just gimmicks, do you really think fingerprint scanner is not safe??? :) Next year Samsung will release bendable phone, which probably will be resistant to any drop damage and your iPhone X will look like a expensive brick :)

Im still rocking my 6s and running latest OS, you can use X easily for 4 years If you want, it's close to perfection. I don't think much can improve anymore which has real value to upgrade. So If you buy X it's very future proof.
Not only the phone looks "old" to me, the icons do as well. I cannot get used to the shape. Somehow, it's old-fashioned, but holds for all iphone. Apparently, this belongs to this brand. The specs of i.e. a Samsung Note8 will not qualify for this mobile, after all it is no more than a phone where you can also take some pictures with.
Conclusion: for an iphone maybe a revolutionary design, but compared to other brands, not at all. The same holds for the specs. Now we should wait whether the battery will have the same issues as the iphone 8 has, or that this has been improved.
Next, waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Note9, which both will be far more better that this x.

It is really funny to see how Apple fans try to self-justify once and other to convince themselves that paying what Apple's asking for this phone is worth it. Which is a clear symptom that it is not. It is rather irrational, but good, as it's said, that everyone waste their money as they want.
Only WoW is price rest is for s.t.u.p.i.d. people who willing to pay 1700 for a phone with all essential gear which is needed if you wanna fully experience the phone without a rish it will breaks or so.
i understand some peope have the money to buy this including me. But any average phone for 400 do the same tricks and you have a lot of money for nice holidays close to sea with your family or friends.
Time with those we love is much more than 1700 eur thing with worm bitten apple on its back. (Thats my opinion and i stand my words)
What I really want to know from the review/test is: If the iphone X is in your desk drawer, can you look down and it will open for you? Most workplaces do not allow phone use in work time so having to get your phone out to unlock is a no no. Usually with front facing finger print recognition or/and an 'always on' display it is a quick and simple gesture. A really small thing but most people are faced with this

Also, when challenging lightings or situations(crowded area, lightings, moving etc) might force people to take it closer to their face. We need to wait for sometime on this.

Are you those who things you have to raise your phone next to your face? No-one knows you are using face id, people just see one using him or her phone. There's no need to raise your phone, even Apple says it in their new tutorial video, just glance it like you would start using your phone normally.

Don’t forget to buy a case for it, they’re charging $AU819 if u break the glass

Yes totally agree, i using Apple too
(iPhone7+ and iPad Pro 10.5)
But this X has ugly design just my opinion
and nothing WoW features except expencive price
Better my Note 8 in design and features
I’m amazed this phone is only a tad bigger than my iPhone 7 but the screen size is bigger than the plus models. This phone brings back fond memories of the first iPhone 3G from 10yrs ago. Good job Apple!!
The iPhone X is targeted to the affluent market who don't care about the real value of the phone even with the new 'cutting edge' advances and technological features and 'firsts' it claims to have. The only two things important for this market are #1. To make sure the iPhone X looks significantly different from the rest of the Android world (hence the screen cut out) and even look remarkably different from the less premium iPhone 8, 8 plus and below to CLEARLY set it apart from the 'lower' class phones, and #2. To make sure the price is as sky high as possible to give the impression it is meant to be a luxury item beyond reach of most android owners and even of many poorer iphone owners and only intended for the truly 'rich'. You may complain all you want about how the iPhone X is a waste of money and that you can get a lot so much more for less in the Android world but sorry, for iPhone X fans, the only important thing is the status symbol it projects and the extreme, sometimes pathological satisfaction these owners derive from their phone that to them, screams 'My owner is rich' everytime they pull it out and stare at it for face ID unlock. I'm sure the novelty will fade fast as they realize Face ID isn't actually better and faster than fingerprint ID and there's not much new to offer, but the satisfaction they derive from the look of 'awe' (whether real or imagined) from 'lesser mortals' who don't own it or can never afford it, is for them, 'PRICELESS' and well worth the price. Never mind if others consider the price as 'highway robbery' or others label them as having more money than brains. For them, its more than just a phone - its a statement of their social standing, real or imagined.
Annoying and ugly notch design. Unintuitive gestures instead of simple on-screen software buttons. No headphone jack. That's Apple for you.
