I have tested a 3 gb nokia 6 vs a 2 gb nokia 5 and there is a noticeable difference in performance.

Whilst 3 gb is welcome they need to upgrade the chipset to 450/625 and a 1080p screen and then they have a winner. The world has moved on a bit as they took too long to release. Now the mi a1 is the new budget stick android phone to have and whilst a bit more expensive it blows the 5 out of the water. The 5 looks a little old compared with it. I'm interested in what the second generation 5 has to offer though.

If you have 3GB RAM why not just pair it with a SD625 or better?

I've been using the 5 with 2GB RAM for 3 months without ever running into RAM issues. It's honestly the best budget device you can get.

okcnaline, 06 Nov 2017No point in throwing a SD430 with 3GB RAM...You're absolutely wrong. I can't explain why, but you just need to do some blind tests to figure out the "trying is believing" experience.

I paid more than this for 2GB variant. It's a good phone. I did a lot of consideration before buying this. It's the best phone performance-wise for price. Not talking about Chinese brands.

What? If it would have launched with 3gb RAM, then I would have bought this over Nokia 6. I like this design more than 6 and is also more compact. Would provide little bit better performance too. I think this move will affect the sales of Nokia 6 unless they upgrade Nokia 6 with 4gb RAM.

Hmm... Nokia 5 is the best premium feeling phone released this year. It is very sturdy, looks nice, is very good in hand. But the storage is only 16Gb... if it would have been 32 it would have been insta buy for me. No I did have to increase my budget 3 times to get another good quality phone that is not too big...
There Are very few well made phones in that size gategory.
