If the... moreSAMSUNG's own chipsets are way better than Qualcomm's one, and more efficient, and I would say that they should ditch Qualcomm, since I know that SAMSUNG's chipsets are way more efficient than the SNAPDRAGONs, and better, and much well optimized for their own UX. Even though my GALAXY S6 spoiled about a year ago, what I realize that is different from Qualcomm and better is that it stays full speed even if it starts to get hot, unlike Qualcomm, throttles and slows down clock speeds when it starts to get hot

Every 4 years i get an iphone.. to see whats new and every time i sell it and get an android... Yes apple now has the best hardware.. BUT the speed of the apps and everything else Samsung is better.,. so... what is the point of power if you can't use it?? Another thing.. easy of transferring files, the way i connect to my camera using nfc... man.. Apple has nothing! The only thing i love about them now is 4k 60fps.. that is a great touch.. ahh and the slow motion at 1080p 240.. even if Sony has that much better.. sony can't offer a great camera in rest.

If they expend more effort improving it and less on qualcomm chipsets for their flagships, they could more quickly close the gap to apple's soc.

they're basically the same in term of performance. there is no app that can use that much of Apple SoC's horsepower, rendering them useless most of the time. Meanwhile, both also suffer from software performance degradation over the time

Qualcomm lives in the stone age and keeps you back.
You can do none of the machine learning pattern recognition of depth ID because of how weak your SoC is. Ditch Qualcomm and then talk!
