It’s not a big deal. Stop posting apple’s problem, and instead bring up Note 7 every time

To use the telephoto lens anytime, just use Portrait Mode. It will be forced to use its telephoto lens regardless of the lighting situation.

Buying an IPhone certainly does not offer that flexibility and choice.

I much prefer an android flagship like my note 8, but the sad reality is that an iphone product could be made of cheese and still outsell android devices....a number of factors include familiarity, software integration, brand appeal and ease and simplicity of use. Does This mean that apple has a better product vs the flagship competition? No! It just means apples core base is more loyal to whatever apple throws at them, by comprison an android user will more likely jump ship tp a different brand as soon as a feature is removed or a better product is released...and i reckon it will stay thay way for a good few years yet!

Anonymous, 06 Nov 2017No, zooming with your feet gives a different perspective compared to if you use a longer lens. That’s been the accepted methodology in photography since it’s inception. You’re really quite impressive, Lol.

Abe, 06 Nov 2017The less possible for the segment with the highest benefit (Apple trademark). That makes no sense at all. iPhone X already has it's hardware, if it can make better night shots somehow, you don't think they'd enable it? They're at war with Samsung and dozens of other manufacturers, they want their product to be the best it can be at this point. It's obvious with the sudden inclusion of OLED and a bezelless display.

It's pretty funny when a blogger sitting in his underwear eating cheetos and writing an article for a tech website think they know more than multi-billion dollar companies. Just let them do their thing, they know what they're giving the user

IPhone X still camera best in the business

DxOMark "With all of the analyses completed, the scores calculated, and the results verified, the iPhone X turns in an excellent result, delivering outstanding images for smartphone photography enthusiasts. It’s exceptional for stills, achieving the best Photo sub-score yet at 101 points."

I agree, that is a weird decision on Apple’s part, especially with OIS now present on the secondary telephoto camera. Looks like the best bet for now is zooming with your feet when shooting at night.
