I dont use a lot of apps except Notepads and other general ones but I do want a smart looking unit with a great camera and freedom of Android so the Pixel is great and the Google eco system is really developing. Still keen o check out Nokia 9 which isn't too far off.

I was really impressed by the phone! I thought stock Android would be so boring, etc. but it was not bad! Camera was really great and the editing tools as well.
I did sell it because there were many features missing but they brought some in Oreo and now they're bringing even more with color mode (that was needed instead of going to developer options for RGB mode). They just need to bring the ability to control notification volume on its own, as a separate volume instead of combined with ringtone volume.
With Files Go about to be released, Pixel is looking good!
I still prefer Samsung's OS and compact bodies but the Pixel 2 looks awesome to be honest. I just really like Samsung's Kids mode for my daughter lol. Samsung's apps are very advanced and high quality as they've been in development for a long time now.

Tried Pixel 2 on my day off this week. Nice compact phone and I played with the camera. OMG, I have to admit it is stunning as are the new editing features. Best I have ever seen. Well done. The smooth glass to frame feel is better on my HTC One A9. But still good.

Google pushing updates liek crazy. When i owned my nexus 5 almost every week there were updates. And it had 2 major OS update after that.
Bought a Oneplus 5, no updates whatsoever. Hell, last week oneplus pushed the september security update. We were still on July. No OREO update yet in sight. Guess buying cheap has its consequences. I've even heard the OnePlus 5T will be shipped with Nougat 7.1.1.
If having a flagship device that doesn't update devices why is it called flagship?
Huawei has updated its mate 9 to OREO already which is from 2016.

Mine never had the clicking issuse in the first place but good to see google getting on top of it.

They never mentioned the tint issue, which is obviously a hardware issue and akin to all OLED displays. By the way, Nova launcher on the S8 just brings cosmetic changes, nothing deeper, where the S8 issues really lie.
