annas, 08 Nov 2017nice lie ios has the most optimisez apps with pro apps also for the ipad android is 0u r right to some extend... but apps optimised for android tablet zero??? i am saying.. when compared to mobile phones( android or iphone) they both have same processor.. same ram.. same os but just display size changed is causing tablets not so fast as mobile phones.. in both the ios and android family.. i am not comparing apple and android.. i m comparing apple phone to apple ipad and android phone to android tab.. n i got both ipad air and older gen samsung tab s2.. i m telling this with what i have experienced...
Android tablet market is pretty thin. Probably because all android phones are so big they could be considered tablets. If there was a nice android tablet with stock android, I’d get one.
AshesToAshes, 08 Nov 2017Not surprising. Samsung was the only Android manufacturer on the race and their latest tablets... moreWhat about Huawei and Xiaomi though?
Not surprising. Samsung was the only Android manufacturer on the race and their latest tablets are lazy and overpriced.

If you're going to buy a tablet, you're much better off with an ipad than anything else.
It's a niche market at this point. I wanted something similar to the screen size of an old kindle fire, but with LTE functionality, and decent enough specs to handle Pokemon go and very light gaming.
I ended up getting a used LTE Samsung Galaxy A tablet because newer tablets either 1. Didn't have the features/specs I needed 2. Were too pricey for the specs, or offered more than I needed 3. Didn't offer good enough specs on the low end.
With phones, not many people need tablets. And higher end models fill the void for those that do need more.
Android completely give up tablets. There isn't one that remotely come close to iPad in quality, speed and price.
Tablets haven't evolved in over 4 years, big brands still sell mid range priced 10 inch tablets with 1280x800 resolution and 16gb. What's the point of a tablet if you can't read properly or watch Full-HD video?
It's like day of light... Clearly when there is no flagship with powerful specs (sd821/835/630/660) when there is no optimize (in fact not optimized) apps exclusively for tablets Outcome: there is no chance for android's tablets
I'm surprised people are still buying these things, smartphones and laptops serves most consumers wants and needs.
@gsmarena team why don’t you review iPad or tablests anymore????
Because the only hi end tablets are ipads and surfaces. Rest are copycats and those who don't out any(like sony). Foldable tech can change that though.
Its not like media cantered tablets got no future, Samsung's A line got awesome battery endurance, better than whatever hi end.

i haven't purchased a new tablet because newer model are really bad, not so powerfull and expensive, if they were expensive but full featured i would do some effort to buy a new one but that's not the case today
If it isnt an ipad, then there is not a tablet segment
Because there are no good android tablets(for price) out there. Thats why i am still using 3 year old nvidia shield tablet. There are costly android tablets of samsung and pixel c and then there are sub 200$ crap tablets.
