Should've put the essential PH-1 in the comparison. Aside from the camera cutout, it has the bezels in the right spots IMO. Side bezels are very narrow. A chin on the bottom is useful because trying to use the nav buttons when they are that low down compromises the hold you have on your phone - same problem I have found with below screen buttons. IMO they could have gone for a shorter screen and had a bezel at the top, but I really don't mind the small camera cutout and the extra height is good when it's used by apps.
iPhone X has so many bugs and problems ... it can't win anything ... look on youtube.
iPhone X: 9.2mm (4.3mm w/o notch)
Galaxy S8: 8.4mm
iPhone X: 4.3mm
Galaxy S8: 7.5mm
iPhone X: 4.3mm
Galaxy S8: 1.5mm
Great but how did you manage to measure bezels using callipers lol?
so, the iphone has some of the biggest overall bezels but is still your winner. Can i remind you people that the phone ist twice the price of a mimix2? even thrice over here. I know its not all about bezels, but in your comparison it is.
swmca, 07 Nov 2017Samsung clearly decided to match the small top bezel with the same at the bottom for a great l... moreComparing the S8 with the iPhone X, it‘s a typical Apple design with the sentence „function over form“ in mind. The bottom bezel makes it symmetrical, which looks better, but wastes a bit of space. The iPhone X even made these parts next to the notch screen, so there is minimal bezel and space being wasted
Vbaptista, 07 Nov 2017I don't understand why GSM Arena simply doesn't ever consider the essential Ph-1 and brags so ... moreEssential phone bezels are much bigger than iPhone X, I mean just compare the bottom bezels of the two
Indrockzz, 08 Nov 2017Apple wins the fragile war lol..Did you watch the drop test of the iPhone X?
I would not call it fragile.
ips83, 07 Nov 2017Galaxy s8 is the same phone like iphone 10 but better. Where is the galaxy s8 in this comparison?Did you even bother reading the article?????
It clearly states why they did not put galaxy flagships in their.
Rather going bezel less, I seriously wish these smartphone manufactures went with large capacity removable batteries. There are numerous areas where you can develop and bring a competitive smartphone. The new Razer phone just stepped up the whole game. Very appreciable effort going with a complete gaming specs phone. Asus Zenphone AR brings the Augmented Reality to a whole new level, the battery capacity is a huge turn off though. Asus Zenfone 3 zoom, highly commendable for its 5000mah battery in a sleek body, the the camera and video quality could have been much better. The new Sony XZ premium for its 960fps Slow motion capability despite of low capacity battery. Back in the days, the Nokia was innovative. The phones like N82, N73, N95 Engage, 5800 Express Music, 9500 communicator, 808 PureView, Lumia 1020 were outstanding in their class. There are numerous areas the smartphone makers can concentrate on to bring "one of the kind" devices rather jumping into bezel less bandwagon with low capacity batteries. I am proud to have owned and used these devices. Nokia 6600, Nokia 6233, Nokia N82, Nokia Lumia 1020, Nokia Lumia 1520 and Moto Z play. I regret buying Iphone4S and Samsung Galaxy S3.
Bezel less is easy to make, but make it fragile less is more important, who want to buy expensive phone and cover the beauty with cover? Accident do happen
