AnonD-392500, 08 Nov 2017Haha...huawei think themselves as a big brand like apple or samsung. What a joke?I and anyone with a working brain would think that the second largest phone brand in the world recently surpassing Apple is a pretty damn big, huge brand.

AnonD-463101, 08 Nov 2017Think the Kirin 930 is to blame there...Kirin 930 has the same architecture as the SD810 chip used in Sony Xperia Z3 except for a very underwhelming GPU but I don't think that it is the reason why they didn't update the OS.

AnonD-392500, 08 Nov 2017Haha...huawei think themselves as a big brand like apple or samsung. What a joke?if Huawei keep this way with devices like Mate 9, Mate 10, P9, P10 etc etc i am sure in space of some years they can be above Sammycrappy for sure. BEcause i see and know many many people who brought sammycrappy's want and will go for a Huawei phone next and forget sammy.

So, like me i plan to buy a Mate 9 soon and sell my LG V10 because Mate 9 still have the best i have in my V10 (display, IR Blaster...) and today phones are losing this key features.

Sure, accessory lines may not be necessary to use the phone, but good for Huawei to do their own. It is great to have customers personalize their device. I also love how they haven't gave up 16:9 for their phones(I assume both phones are recent).

I have only used two phone cases in the past; a snap-on case for my ZTE Whirl and a yellow TPU+hard shell case for my LG G3. The former wasn't necessary as the Z660G was chunky(by today's measurements) and durable, but improved the look(build and color) and feel of the phone(nice smooth matte finish). The latter was necessary, as my G3 felt too thin to hold with one hand.

This is useless if they have underwhelming OS support for their product. Samsung S6 and Sony Z3 were released in March 2015 and received Nougat update yet their P8, P8 max did not received that and no security update after June 2017. If they want to become the largest SMARTPHONE COMPANY IN THE WORLD why not try to support your devices first.

If Sony can do that despite of the fact that their mobile division is not performing well (profit wise) why can't you Huwaei? If you want your customers to continuously buy your products, support them well.

Iphone is expensive but customers continuously buy it every generation because they received support and updates even it most of the time it includes some bugs, at least give your customers an option to update or not.

Better this way i guess, so there will be no one bitchin' about bad accessories when they bought cheap, unknown brand andorid accessories
Before, only sony and samsung care enough to provide proper accessories

Tucking Fypo, 07 Nov 2017so huawei makes more money using this "made for huawei" thing.more money not, it makes money from this, since all acessories until now dont give a percentage to Huawei, now Huawei take some $ from this.

ZloiYuri, 07 Nov 2017Everything have to certified by standards. Neithert for Google, nor Huawei. For USB-C port. Th... moreyou dont understand this "certified" that are talking in the news!

You see cases, dock chargers, cables and so one "made in china" by unknown industries with no quality but anyway they go on sale with the words "made for" and remember they dont contact the brand to know they are doing that and avoid to pay royalities and fees to that brand.

Now we gonna see some Huawei self made and others best known cases and acessories maker with the consentment of the brand to make that acessories. Until now everyone can do it without certification of the brand.

Everything have to certified by standards. Neithert for Google, nor Huawei. For USB-C port. That's all that have to be. Huawei made proprietary quick charge tech and using non-standard cable for this. That's unacceptable. Hope that practice will go away and will be replaced by Made For Android.
