I'm not arguing with ... moreWell hey, you misunderstood I never said iPhone was good for videography, I wanted to say that videography from GH5 was far better than most DSLRs.
I mean how can you compare a phone's sensor to a micro four third or a DSLR's. I mean you can fit more than 6 iPhones' sensors over a single Four third sensor.

I remember past times when i had just 3 years back in 1984 when i got a Sony cassete walkman on Xmas from my dad.
Nobody had it in my town just me. It was weird.

Phones "destroyed" MP3 players market only to end up donwgrading their own sound quality over the years. Phones are pretty much having audio crysis now and manufaturers are often willing to dich quality just to shave off one more mm of the phone case.

I'm not arguing with you. Just asking. Despite that I'm not a fan of iPhone, I admit that the camera of the phone is one of the best on smartphone.
Just curious. I'm not a pro photographer or youtuber.

Everyone test speed, screen, memory, stills from camera... while not how long it can record that 4K, max dB without distortion, if it record mono/stereo/3Dstereo. Not to mention FoV, some are not even brave to mention pixel/sensor size, forget comparison to others.
Poor people who will find out how 3x overpriced device they bought, when video is nothing like experience they had, using eyes with 120°fov, ears to experience no glitches and binaural audio(with 3D being most close to it). (iphoneX cost 3x its price of materials, wonder why)

My friend, professional photographer, told m... moreIt is when you talk about Photography, videography has a little if not vastly different requirements, they need better stabilization, different recording modes, and a lot other smaller features. That is why the video output from most DSLRs except for Mark 5D, 6D and some other series are mediocre. And GH5 is a video camera so it handles video recording quite well. The Lumix G series, on the other hand, is crap.
And a lot of professionals use GH5 for video recording.
I tould that best cameras are Canon and Nikon...
My friend, professional photographer, told me that everything else is compromise.
Anyway, the comparison looks ok.
Article inconsistent and makes no sense...
First of all they state that if footage is used on youtube it is compressed and thus makes no difference if you using professional camera or iPhone. Fine agree with that...
But doesn't it means you would be just fine using any other phone with 4k camera which doesn't do 60fps? because you footage will likely to be 24fps by default in youtube. If so Samsung Note 3 (from 2013) would do just as good with its 4k 30FPS camera (actually first smartphone with 4k video).
The point - if you recording for youtube in good light conditions any decent phone camera (even from 2013) will be enough... no need for professional camera nor shiPhone x from crapple.

Resolution alone does not make it king. And even on pure resolution advantages the 808 and 1020 have it beat.

1stly this is just clock bait. But nowhere as bad as the RED vs LG V30.
2ndly, the Pixel 2 has way more dynamic range and way better low light than the iPhone X in photo (and video). I am not sure what the guys at DXO Labs are on, but they seriously need to check into rehab.

It is not right to compare a dedicated camera with smartphone camera.

Just take a listen, it's imho even worse than iPhones - more artefacts and mono as well.
If its about quality 4K video, pixel2 and u11 are the best. Better than new Iphones with their 4K less sharp, more noisy in low light. They win also in audio recording.
Still nothing beats Lumias and their haac. Wish gsma would do also blind mics shootout.
4K from pro cameras in video comparison tool would be interesting too.
