People says this stupidity like wireless charging is useless and slow mystically will switch their opinion if OnePlus will install this tech into their overpriced chinaphones. At least half of them just usual bots. Every time OnePlus start to promote it's cheap made but expensive crap they start to say the same useless things, trying to make fake hype. It's so obvious and miserable.

Wireless charging is more of a home thing. I charge usb-c when I want a quick charge up. I think phones without headphone jacks should have wireless charging. One usb-c port will get abused by charging and headphones constantly plugging in and out

I fail to understand the concept of this *WIRED* wireless charging. It's still wired charging. You still need to put your phone down. Just that you don't put the cable in phone.

He is right. I have fast wireless charger for my S7 but, I don't use it cause its slower that than wired fast charger + you cannot use your phone while charging wirelessly.

Dash Charge is amazing... I bought 2 extra dash chargers just so I have it at the office, home and can travel with one...

I am not sure if its the same as Qualcomm Quick Charge, but the Dash Charge getting to 80% in 30min of charge has been super reassuring for a long day.

That's a dumb argument. It's not one over the other. The fact that you cannot have that option whether you think it's better than wired charging or not makes the 5t definitively behind the pack on that aspect.

Big fail. Dash charge has nothing to do with wireless charging, and cable will never be as convenient as wireless. That was a disappointing statement.

You can always get one of those USB-C wireless charging backs/receivers, so you can have wireless charging even with an all-metal phone.

But it's really true that wireless charging is really slower and definitely generates more heat than regular charging (many fast chargers nowadays keep the heat in the charger and not the phone itself).

I'd much rather have the sturdiness of a metal back and not have fast charge then the mild convenience of wireless charging with a fragile glass back

Should have both wireless charging and dash charge, at least it would have that IP68 rating.

Then you need to hold both, phone and USB cable for around one time to charge it.
