nice, more reason not to buy your most overpriced S / Note series at this pace.
Samsung is amazing... know how to team kill their own line-ups :)

Anonymous, 09 Nov 2017Why did samsung ruin their phones from your perspective ? just interested...Since S6, Samsung phones have Non-removable battery, no IR blaster, glass body, curved edges. S6 is also lacking of microSD card support. So Samsung phones become irrelevant with the S6. LG kept making real smartphones (except G4 and V10 with bootloops), up until the V20. Since G6, LG committed the same mistake as Samsung with S6. So LG also become irrelevant. 2017's LG phones are not worth buying over 2017's Samsung phones.

But V20 is overally better than all other phones, because it's an unique phone because it is the only one phone in the earth (and G5) which has all the rare but essential and important features that a real smartphone must have (removable battery combined with at least Snapdragon 820 SoC, FM Radio, IR blaster, microSD card support, 3.5mm jack, flat screen, 16:9 screen, not glass body, no curved edges or corners, useful bezels).

So basically take the last differentiating factor out from your flagship and put it on your endless range of phones.

This is the reason the Galaxy series has been failing. Why buy the $900 version when the $400 version looks the same? Say what you want about Apple at least they're smart enough to follow a top-down model.

Smartphones are like handbags, they're about the logo. Women pay $2000 for handbags which cost $200 to put down other women. If you provide smartphones from range $100-$1000 nobody will end up buying your $1000 phone because you also provide cheap phones. Same goes for cars. Someone who buys Lamborghini would never buy a Ford.

And it will be released with Nougat, and will only get Oreo months after Android P is out. (Just like the 2017 model, released with M, and only get N recently).

This happens when people are obsessed about looks, status symbol and brand name and mindlessly buy phones with these in mind, instead of usability and features (which was the case in the previous decade: people preferred features over looks). And this happens when the journalists and reviewers lie and mislead people about what are the important factors of a phone.

In other words, people have been brainwashed into believing that a phone is a jewelry (and thus it must be thin, curved and shiny glass) and a status symbol instead of a high tech, all-in-one tool. Also, that's how all other nonsense was shoved down people's throat like non-removable battery, 18:9 screen, no bezels, ... Unfortunately, now people think phones has to be like this. This means I can't buy a real high tech, all-in-one tool anymore (the latest / final good one is the LG V20).
