Dual camera with different focal length lenses is NOT an optical zoom. Optical zoom means that you can change the focal length continuously and optically without any electronic interpolation withing the range of zoom. It's a dual focal length camera, not an optical zoom.

Funnily enough, dual focal length lens cameras were common in the compact camera market in the 1980s. They disappeared as manufacturers started to make small enough zoom lenses for compact cameras. Those cameras of course did not have two separate lenses, but a single lens which could be changed between two different focal lengths by flipping a switch. There was no zoom; you had only the two settings to choose from.

Rias Gremory, 09 Nov 2017it using Mediatek Chips, I guess but did'nt rule out the use of snapdragon in the next smartphoneIt is probably still gonna be MediaTek. Snapdragon has never been used in an Infinix phone before.

That's what I've always heard so I've avoided them..
