Did Apple just patent the ability to remotly turn of IPhone cameras to prevent recording movies and taking pictures during concerts...? Did Apple just patent the ability for Apple to block IPhone users from sending "sexual" messages?
I can not understand why so many still buy these expensive phones from a company like Apple?

          No!

If you want a true comparison you have to compare them by brands.

Apple vs Samsung, Apple vs htc etc.

Everyone knows iPhone cant beat android sells, it's a mission impossible. still it's doing very good job with that too :)

By the way, if we really talk about android vs iOS every devices, iOS outsells android.

            Enough monkeys....

This talks about best selling phone. This is not about mobile OS's. every time you all are taking Android to fight with iPhone. Come on monkeys...!!! Just try to understand the difference between Handsets and OS's.

If they start having more than 1 then no one will think it's cool anymore and they'll probably end up screwing things. So nothing wrong with comparing iPhone against Android.

Basically, it is as if you would compare OSX to the HP DM4 laptop series and then conclude that Windows 7 is a failure - it is just that simple!

If you want a true comparison, you have to compare them by platform, not by "Apple makes only 1 iPhone, so, let's compare it against a single Android device!".

YES, wp7 can only compete iOS, i see non other in that competition, WP7 is as smoth as iOs nearly, but android touch is not that good or smooth, many of you are right.....

you have to take into considaration the fact that iOS has only 1 phone iphone and android has 500 phones. so the fact is that looking at sailes per phone iOS wins with iphone. you can say anything about iphone but thats impessive

What kind of 'survey' is this? Comparing the iPhone(which is NOT HSPA+/4G LTE capable) to phones that actually use them does not show any kind of transparency. What's the time period that this survey was conducted in? How about the Motorola Droid X, since ostensibly you can just compare anything and everything you like :)

It simply shows how stupid some people are.It is also due to several restrictions of carriers in USA I suppose, that android is not popular. We have SGS2, Xperia ARC etc here in UK. They are not offered yet in USA.My cousin says, that he tried to get nexus S which was only offered on pricey deals etc. At one point, although he was great Android fan, he was considering Iphone as he was not able get his preferred phone on preferred network. Finally he went on pay as you go awaiting SGS2. He finds UK market was much more open and less restrictive. I dont think iphone can replicate similar success in other much more open markets.
