They need growth for profits and sell the same old things year after year and the people even buy it. And Sony maybe fears the death of their CyberShot line. Maybe their camera division should build its own phone ;-)

yada yada yada, just increase the sensor size to near 1 in. and give us minimum 20MP (like my Sony RX100 which takes amazing pictures and fits in my pocket) and then we'll have a worthy camera phone (like we did in 2012, 808 and in 2014, Panasonic CM1). Stop trying to improve small sensors. Only Google Pixel did a good job but even then...

AnonD-352484, 13 Nov 2017so where excactly do you see the improvement? i cannot spot itIn the pic with the wooden pallet - the wood grains are much better resolved by the OP 5T cam.

Funny, but heise (the German magazine) stated that there is no real improvement so far. Only in the picture with 3 lux you can see a little bit more structure on the wooden plate. That´s all. This camera is 1:1 the camera of the Oppo R11s with the same marketing claim of four pixels mixed into one for the second sensor. Samples of this phone prove that there´s no better image quality.

Anonymous, 13 Nov 2017The second camera is likely a monochrome camera, otherwise it wouldn't make sense. The Exmor 376 is a tiny 1.0 μm RGB with 20mp. The secondary camera of OP 5T has the Exmor 376K. I haven't found anything about it, not sure what that "K" means. But seems to be equally a version of the same tiny sensor released last year.

Then when you'll see the real photos in low light... will go crying to the OnePlus forums asking for a software update. And in five or six months they will leave it behind and they will release OP 6.

I'm pretty sure it's a fake as Karl Pei did it before with OnePlus 5. Camera will be the same bad in low light.
