doubtful Alf, 13 Nov 2017I can't get passed that notch its so fugly I am in the same boat. I have been in apple ecosystem but just couldn't push myself to buy iPhone X this year. I got iPhone 8 plus and happy with a good but dated design than new but ugly one.

Seriously, Touch ID might make a come back if FaceID if it proves less secure.
I am not sure about the entry-level iPhone being worthwhile as it might only have similar success to the 5C or SE.
FaceID won't go away though, great feature to have especially for younger people
