Imperator Neubaticus, 14 Nov 2017It's funny how kids are so proud of their oreo-touting sony phones when sony isn't even a top ... moreBro that club is already on the latest version of the OS while the manufacturer you love doesn't bother to provide you with an update for your device. I'm no Sony fan but you're pathetic.

21% on Nougat, that's incredibly low even by Android standards. Nougat is already obsolete. This problem will never go away for Android as long as manufacturers keep using their own needless UI/skins.

Anonymous, 14 Nov 2017Can't even imagine of beating iOS update speed. lolWell, IOS just have the same schemed devices, so their updates are basically all done and worked for 1 device, meanwhile Android doesn't just have 1 type of phone, android has a variety, but if you would want to compare, just compare the Nexus and Pixel Lineup against IOS lineup and you will get the results you've expected to get

This is never going to get any better. The single biggest problem behind Apple and they can't even begin to do anything about it.

What is the point of these distribution updates? Most manufacturers don't update a phone more than once or twice (if at all) to make sure you buy new ones. Therefore android will always be behind in adoption of the newer OS.

I think Google shouldn't make new Android every year, I'm tired with Google, they just doesn't make sense anymore. Android it's not only on Pixel phones, and Google should consider that.

Just imagine iOS update speed on Android. It would be amazing, but I doubt it will happen any time soon, since manufacturers are producing tons and tons of series (looking at you Samsung) and it is impossible to update them all. I own Galaxy J7 2016 and I got Nougat, (yes Nougat) like three weeks ago, and I really won't hope for Oreo too much. But yeah, it is what it is for now, I just hope something will change. And by the way, I can say that I still got survivor, (Vodafone 858 Smart) that is running on Gingerbread.

I'm still using my first ever smartphone --- the Xperia X10 Mini Pro which runs on Android 2.1 and does not even support Google Play now. But hey it still works great as a second phone with SIM and the old Android Market.

Gotta say, Oreo runs surprisingly smooth and well on my XZ premium, at first there were some annoying bugs but after latest update that came a week ago it's pretty good.
