First, app loading, specially light apps depends on RAM and storage far more than it depends on processing power. Hence the lack of difference and hence the fact that app loading is not a serious metric to compare processors.
AR/VR, High resolution video recording, rendering, FDE performance depends on raw power and that is where the iphone shines. Go look at the difference in quality of AR graphics on the iphone and S835 devices and come back.
Saying the S835 is the same as A11 for daily use is like saying a 2003 Civic is the same as a LaFerrari in real world driving. No its not.
SKR..., 14 Nov 2017I'm 110% sure that it wouldn't be based on 7nm process. It'll still be 10nm only. 7nm will be ... moreThis is true. Remember, the A10X chip in the iPad Pro 10.5" was built on a 10nm process well before the A11 chip arrive on the iPhone 8.

It's funny how you wouldn't know about it, and remain arrogant about it.
Yes, the A11 destroys the competiton in raw power. But in real life, there is no real difference between the best Android phone and the best iPhone in terms of performance for us consumers to notice it. Any speed difference between the two are just nitpicking.
As the current A11 is already a beast that slays the competition, one can only imagine how perful the A11X will be?
By the way, is it pronounced "A11 Ten"??? :P

Only in benchmarks and video rendering it won. But other than that, these two chipset are neck and neck with one another in everyday usage, which is what matters most. But ironically, video rendering is not what people do in a regular basis, now is it?
Onyxia, 15 Nov 2017In general, that's what matters anyway. So yes, opening apps is what people considers speed test.Sure, you can open candy crush faster due to reduced OS animations. Id rather have 4k60 recording, real time lighting adjustments, unmatched rendering and exporting performance along with future proofing.
Comparing a slow and weak S835 to the A11 is like comparing a tuktuk to a space shuttle. A11x will only make the difference bigger.
Anonymous, 15 Nov 2017lol you think opening apps is a 'speed test'In general, that's what matters anyway. So yes, opening apps is what people considers speed test.
Anonymous, 15 Nov 2017iPhone don't need much core, that what they said before.yeah and 64bit is a gimmick too as what QUALCOMM said before. but look at them now they implement it too. LOl

Anonymous, 14 Nov 2017Facts are 100% correct, we have had Octa cores for years apple are again LATE to the party wit... moreTheir large cores are much more powerful than the competition.
But the interesting thing here is the 3+5 configuration, they're adding 2 more small cores compared to a10x, battery efficiency should be mega.
Anonymous, 15 Nov 2017Exynos had octacores since the S4 in 2013!! Who is stupid now??your octa core is nothing if it only runs in 32bit. LOl

It is fair to say that Apple caught Qualcomm sleeping when it announced the 64-bit ... moreWell said. It's throughly informative and impressively detailed.
also. Claim 5: "We are still waiting to find out the clock speed of the A11."
We already know one clock speed of the A11. The Monsoon cores peak at 2.1 GHz. (2092 MHz to be exact) but we don't know the mistral cores's speed. (assumably 1.4 or so. but then. take it with a grain of salt.)
Anonymous, 14 Nov 2017Built by the Taiwanese. even if it's Taiwanese. (and I've been in Taiwan. a gorgeous place with it's serenity. and liveliness) TSMC will create chipsets for all those who demand. so I kinda think it's wrong claim. (but then again. also samsung manufactures for all companies the SoCs. so even I'm wrong.)
all in all. all SoC manufacturers are for all companies.
