I think I'll stay with Edge for now its really grown on me, it's very fast and consumes way less RAM than Chrome ever did.

rfa, 16 Nov 2017All it needs (on Android) is the option for address bar at the bottom of the scrrenUnfortunately the stock Android Firefox is horrible. It is lacking of a lot of important basic features: text reflow (it used to be there, but Mozilla removed it), an option to export/import bookmarks, tab bar (like the Dolphin browser has), night mode, option to always open desktop pages, recently closed tabs list (it used to be there, but Mozilla removed it).

The only advantage of Android Firefox is that it's still the most customizable, especially with the about:config page and the Ublock addon which has the same UI and features as the desktop version.

I use Opera too, because it's lighter than any other browser and my phone is short on RAM. But it doesn't block most of the ads.
I recommend Yandex browser with"stopAll ads" extension. It's perfect if your phone has at least 3GB of RAM. Its data saving feature is the best too, i've tested it under 2G and it's still fast.

                          1) blocks as much adds as possible
                          2) easily customized to save data
                          3) easily clear browser history, cache etc
                          4) option to download pictures and videos from almost every site (including YouTube)
                          5) Do tons of tons of other not so legal stuff.
One thing is certain, Chrome in not that browser. I use UC Browser and Opera browser

If I didn't have to use Google Apps for Business (I use for free) for my business I would have tried to stop using Google's products. They have great products but I know they're spying and doing weird things somewhere.
Once I test the new Firefox, if it is really smooth and can handle tabs unlike before, then I will consider moving back to Firefox (once extensions are updated).

Does the new Firefox have a ctrl+f search bar on top or is it still badly located in the bottom?

i still have to manually and close a bookmarks bar/side bar for new tabs. what is this?!
it noticeably faster loading images, especially multiple images
