There won't be an S9 mini. There will be A 2018 series.

Curved edges - nothing useful, a gimmick, dust collector when used with screen protector/case.

Apple has just released the greatest upgrade in phone technology (between generations) since forever

Also most previous Galaxy S phones.

Galaxy S8 along with Galaxy S6 stand as a rare example of a phone even making steps back than its predecessor. It's looking to make less sales than S6 at this point... Samsung is defunding their mobile division it seems (or there's waaay too much corruption)

Imperator Neubaticus, 15 Nov 2017Lol what alternate world do you live in? I have to ask *you* that. You probably didn't pay attention when S8 was released:

Less battery than S7 edge: https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s8-review-1603p3.php
                  Pretty much same performance: https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s8-review-1603p6.php
                  Marginally better camera (88 vs 87): https://www.dxomark.com/samsung-galaxy-s8-mobile-review-high-photo-potential/
                  Exquisitely similar image quality: http://www.displaymate.com/Galaxy_S8_ShootOut_01.htm

Worse fingerprint sensor placing (in the back)
                  Etc...

So which universe are *you* living? Were you not paying attention when the phone was released? No wonder it's a flop in sales.

Hopefully it doesn't have a lot of problems and gets abandoned after 1 software update like their last powerful small phone - the Galaxy Alpha.

Mini = crappy quality phone. Get the a model and you get better hw for the same price. Sony are sadly enough the only brand who makes a mini without lowering the hw and still has a wallet friendly price.

Just make a blue international variant. WITH the E9810 everywhere except US! (They are forced in the US to do so).
But seriously I love compact phones like phablets, but I have a tablet so I really look forward to that S9 Mini.

I'll believe it when I see it; I've been hoping for a mini version of Samsung's flagships for several years now and every year there's a rumor that one will finally be made by Samsung but it never pans out! My S7 is still going strong so I'll wait till March with fingers crossed that 2018 will be the year the Galaxy Mini will materialize.
