RAW will be a nice option. If not Lumias, maybe something as capable as LG's camera software.

And nope, nobody said it doesn't exist. They only said that it's not really that too bothersome, which is often true, and even others with very wide angle lenses also have the same problem but nobody seem to complain about them; Samsung included.
Now they fixed it, what else shall we still complain about? At least it is a good news that Sony is actually listening to us.

They just explained what is the cause of the issue, and they also said that they are going to do their best to actually solve it, and they did.

The rest are still there with their camera distortions without correction option.
and it doesnt fix distortions on either of them,
it only rectifies them somewhat....
One cant fix physical laws, because physics cant be an issue, you can only remedy the side effects of physics, ie. optics here.
Fix would be to exchange the wide lens with a simple convex one....on ever single phone model of today, and most consumer cameras too...

Admitting that would be the first step of acknowledging that they have a problem with going too far as fans, though.

I guess now that people who take pictures of bricks and bathroom tiles should be satisfied .

Was mentioned in an iPhone x video review. So don't assume everyone is interested in your pentile amoled display. High quality output is all that matters, not some fancy name.
sony should just trim those bezels and that's it.
