mir, 20 Nov 2017So why won't companies just make a 16:9 screened smartphone with minimal bezels? The trends making by brainless fans. Like some "fans" say the government saves the country's economy, but in reality, their citizens don't feel so. It end up with fans playing trends and fooling the real user.

Everyone forgot about one thing. Most people are primitive so they record videos in vertical orientation. 18:9 screen means even more narrow, thus even more annoying videos will be everywhere on the internet.
You're delusional bro. It's pointless to deny the facts and reaffirm yourself because you wasted your money on Note 8. Accidental touch happens more often, especially if you play games and you grip along the phone edges. Also happens when you mapped the volume buttons and try to use them while gaming. Or when you try to use the phone one hand.
Imperator Neubaticus, 19 Nov 2017Lol ir blaster makes it the best? You're delusional bro. I had a note4 for 3 years. And now i ... moreYes, Note 4 is the latest / final good Samsung phone, because it's the last Samsung phone to have removable battery, IR blaster, 16:9 screen, non-glass body and no curved edges/corners. All newer Samsung phones are worse.
Anonymous, 20 Nov 2017Oh boy! My sister has an S7E, and Im telling you that accidental touches is real. It is existing! Sure, maybe once or twice a week. A month? If it persists then your sister is either a klutz or just can't seem to learn.
I've owned the note7 for a month before i had to return it. No accidental touches there. I own a month and a half old note8 now. Woopee dee, still no accidental touches. The edges on the note8 are the same as those on the s8 and s8+.

Anonymous, 19 Nov 2017Mid november... Nobody will bring new phones this yearNo hurry. I would expect by mid March, Nokia 9 would be out.
z, 20 Nov 201716:9, bezel less & full view or full screen, fingerprint at the back and that would be great..Same thought here...
I don't mind bit bezel and put front stereo speakers with HTC M8 quality
So.
Why not phone \manufacturers bring phone with 16:9 aspect ratio and reduce the bezels of the phone on all 4 sides.
If you add the number of people polled for 16:9 aspect and also for " i care for thin bezels", then it comes to this majority of 2/3rd of the people polled.
i hope year 2018 will be the trend for this.
16:9, bezel less & full view or full screen, fingerprint at the back and that would be great..

18:9 is just stupid! :/
for some one like me who have habit of reading on phone a 1:1 is prefect and after that 3:2/4:3 is best and after that will be 16:9(which in my opinion is best for media) and why the hell companies are going for 18:9/2:1?
RickGH, 19 Nov 2017Question is, who the hell thought it’d be a great idea to bring 18:9 to phones in the first place? The South Koreans, or rather their beloved companies.
