I was considering this phone if the black Friday bring some discount.
Oh well, I'll stick with my Nougat blessed phone for another 6 months.

The Mate 9 wont have treble.

So my choosing the Mate 9 (which is slated to get Oreo + Treble) over the 5T turned out to be a wise choice.

google should force OEMs to implement project treble since its for the betterment of the android users. if google continues to relax its rules then expect more fragmentation on android OS, the latest version will be used by the majority of android users one year later after its released, by that time they already release a newer version

Same happened with vulkan API. No one cared for it with only 5 games supporting.

Just to show that Sony's streamlined and integrating all kernel sources of their devices is paying off now. OnePlus might beat them in prices, but now you know where the extra money goes.

So we‘ll have to wait another year to get treble for every phone. Well, excluding me because I already get 5 years of updates with every new device I buy
