This is not expected of Oneplus. They can't give this naive a statement that "competition overcharges....".
We all know that bill of materials for devices end up less than 50% of its price...
Rest all goes in fixed costs, employee's & manager's salaries, profit, margin for marketing people, advertisement expense, etc..
And some of these "latter" things can be compromised easily.
Its obviously their new cinema advertising campaign that's costing them so much. I saw their advert.
Anonymous, 23 Nov 2017And it isn't. Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7 both are cheaper than OnePlus 5.show me where you can find an iphone 7 or samsung s8 cheaper than 499 dollars.
Impress me kiddo
Remember when Oneplus were for the people and released flagship phones for half the price? Now won't even put their new overpriced phone on sale
Anonymous, 23 Nov 2017And it isn't. Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7 both are cheaper than OnePlus 5.Tell me that was you trying to be sarcastic
If they dropped it anymore people would be complaining about paying full price 2 days ago
Nice excuse. So all those companies are taking advantage all this time and black Friday discounts is the real price? Give me a break.
I think it's reasonable to not want to discount a product that was released literally less than a week ago. Not sure why they felt a need to write up a statement about it, however.
So there device is priced fairly and charger is overpriced thats why its on sale
I'm waiting for the day they'll eat their words. Sooner or later, they will have high prices too.
They aren't wrong you know ...
Companies often rip people off with their unjustified high prices .
I mean no way an Iphone / Samsung costs 2x times as much to produce as oneplus .
It shouldn't be 2x as expensive to begin with .
OP is right..
therefore the are overpricing their charger as well - by %50...
Hah! Saying other companies overcharge, and that's why they can have sales, only to discount the proprietary charger right after is just... Wow.
But really, did anyone expect a brand new device to go on sale right away?
AnonD-456829, 23 Nov 2017Oneplus is right. Phones are overpricedAnd it starts with their own ones.
