AnonD-277030, 24 Nov 2017And yet, one of the best devices Samsung has ever made; Note 4 is still stuck at 6.0. We all k... moreI feel that Samsung does not care about their European customers who bought Note 4 less than 2 years ago through major network carriers (stuck at Marshmallow, no Secure Folder, My Know discontinued..) for this only reason when purchasing my next phone I will have to look for some other manufacturer. It is a pitty, becaus I like my Note phone and Note tablet...
ALways On Display is one thing i miss on my s6, really hoping for its presence on android 8
If s6 gets a proper oreo update and my s7 gets updated till android P, i wouldn't hesitate to buy another Samsung phone in future.

sweggitity, 24 Nov 2017in a simplier word... jellybean to kitkat to lollipop... which sums it upto 2 major updateNo . Some other phones are stuck on 5.0 with bad ram management and battery drain. These are fixed on 5.1 .
So that little update is worth it and shows that sony cares about users unlike samsung left s4 and note 3 waiting on 5.0 with bad battery life and bad multitasking
LG superfan, 24 Nov 2017So? Its completely normal you got 2 major updates like every other phoneS4 and note 3 are still stuck with 5.0
Every one knows this version is buggy and most glitches are fixed in 5.1.
So that update is worth it and has to be mentiones
Darola, 27 Nov 2017Please can anyone confirm if the Samsung Note 5 will get Oreo?yeah, Note 5 is in the leaked list of oreo updates
AnonD-718369, 25 Nov 2017android version 7.0 in s6 leaves 200mb free out of 3gb ram, and hangs for 10 to 15 minutes eve... morecould be some apps draining your RAM while operating in the background. might be worth cleansing your phone and disabling/force stop preinstalled stuff that you dont find any use for. one thing i find which tend to eat an awful lot of ram is facebook and messenger. think there is a lite version for those; you could have a look at that.

I'm surprised Samsung is giving the S6 this upgrade.
I might buy one, they're so cheap on the used market.

Samsung Galaxy S6 to get Android Oreo
I'm on the iPhone side now, but I had the S6 white in the past and I loved it even with the not so good battery life. It's a very good thing if Samsung will update the S6 to Oreo. Hope it will be common for Android flagships to support their flagships for more than two major updates.
lol. s6edge didn't even get the nougat update here in the philippines.
