AnonD-700784, 24 Nov 2017My xperia z went from 4.1.2 to 4.3 to 4.4.4 to 5.0 and finally 5.1.1 So? Its completely normal you got 2 major updates like every other phone

Every manufacturer tries to stay as close as possible to stock Androi... moreNot going to happen mate, you know the whole point of Android is open for everyone to modified it, that why most of the OEM modified the UI to differentiate themself. Yes I got your point, going for stock Android mean faster update, but most OEM wouldnÂ’t like this idea, especially when they couldnÂ’t show off their own superiority to each other, plus is not good for consumer too, we love choices, we love there is many different Android UI for us to pick.

Doesn't matter if samsung phones get 10 years support if updates have bugs everywhere. But I still hope that sammy fixes software problems and massive screen cracking with future phones...

Finally my S6 edge is getting the Oreo soon!!!! Thank you very much. Hmm, let's see if the Galaxy S5, note 5 and note 4 can get Oreo too???

I would bet my life that cheap $99 phone will get Oreo before my phone. I will never buy another Samsung phone because of all the crap software like Bixby that is loaded onto them. All Samsung software is a pile of garbage. I wish they would stop it, but it seems like no so I better go someplace else. Probably will get a pixel for my next phone
I'm using S6 as my primary phone. I never thought samsung would update this phone to Oreo. Then this means oreo will be 4th Android OS upgrade. Phone was released with lollipop 5.0
When it comes to software Samsung has always been better than the rest even apple and google. After each update an iPhone gets frustratingly slow and as for Google since Nexus one vs Galaxy s Samsung has been the better of the two although slow.
Worst in terms of software is Nokia/Microsoft especially after all the dumped windows 8 and 10 phones.Hope Nokia does well with Android.
Wow! If this is true, it would be amazing! I think it has something to do with all S6 versions having Exynos rather than Snapdragon.
