praneeth, 27 Nov 2017Till now i did not receive the Oreo update for Nokia 8i was kept on trying on the system update tab, but till now there is no update.
I received the update over two days ago for my Nokia 8 model TA-1004. Oreo is just awesome. The Battery now can last over two days on normal use. No more heating on prolonged camera use, camera did improve , but not greatly. The natural daylight photos colours are just awesome. Low light has to improve. This is based on my two days usage experience after the Android 8 update. Very few apps required re-installation. It's faster than before. Good job Google & Nokia.
CAVBR, 25 Nov 2017Nokia today is Motorola's 2014.LOL. Have you even used the Nokia 8 before commenting?
To all those haters who says google is not updating android one devices to oreo whereas hmd is updating nokia 8 to oreo..
Thats because google will update android one (Mi A1) to oreo with project treble support wherease hmd updated nokia 8 to oreo without project treble support..
Project treble need some time to separate the vendors code and android framework
Has anyone got the update in Australia? If so please let me know cause there is nothing so far
CAVBR, 25 Nov 2017Nokia today is Motorola's 2014.Guess you didn't try razr ;-) or razr maxx ;-)
CAVBR, 25 Nov 2017But of course! Nokia does not have much to modify, unlike Samsung. It has to be quick, reall... moreNokia still miss what Samsung actually does improve. The camera software. It's still limited, just like Nokia did at first with Nokia n8. Oreo still didn't open for the cameras full potential.
AnonD-696151, 24 Nov 2017Great nokia faster than samsung in giving updates
It is their first flagship phoneBut of course!
Nokia does not have much to modify, unlike Samsung.
It has to be quick, really.
In fact, it should be even faster.
Anonymous, 25 Nov 2017Google will never control update unless if they make android for there phones only. It's just to follow the example of Microsoft, that everything starts to work as it should.
