One must look which manufacturer is doing what rather than comparisons with another. Sony has improved and has to be appreciated, as simple as that!

My Belgium bought X Performance received the OTA update today, and I've been using it for a few hours, overall good impression. Why so many samsung haters here, they will get it someday soon too i suppose. But still very good software support for the past 2 years from Sony.

[deleted post]I've been using Sony, Sammy, HTC.
The HTC's battery got swollen after 2 years and had to throw away the phone.
After 2 months of use, the sammy turned into Lagzilla - had to constantly hard reset it. So annoying!
It died in the first attempt of rooting it - extremely unstable software in that department - i smashed that one on the floor into a million pieces.
Seems sammy doesn't want you to root their phones by not providing bootloader unlocking on their website like Sony does.
An android phone without root is just a slightly better iphone. Period.
I've been using a Sony for 4 years now (16-18 hours per day!) » battery is still ok and software is very very adaptable and stable. Zero lag after 4 years! not 2 months.
Their software is bloated to the max with features nobody uses and most of them can be achieved with root. But if you try deleting them you get bootloops while on Sony you u get zero bootloops if you delete system apps.
Most of the Sammy users have no clue what root means anyway. They're only taking selfies and using fb and Twitter. pathetic.
My advice : study some programming and use that brain, don't
let it waste.. oh, and grow tfk up!

                No need to go 18:9.

Sony prefers 16:9 or 21:9, they hate 18:9.

TV is not 18:9, content will never be 18:9

I hope Sony design the next flagship phone did the same as style of X Performance, but have to do it for less bezel a bit, it is so cute and really smart when hand on. It is time to do your camera best back again, no need to wait, please Sony, we are waiting your best of the best phone in 2018. Love Sony. The best is still the best and no needs time to wait to release the best smart phone. Don't let me sad.
