EndlessDream94, 06 Jul 2011Just wanted to add a bit of a different angle here Tom...
I think you had said that Android... moreOk, to begin with you said this:
And the idea that everybody moves to Android because they want one is absurd. The availability of devices running it is the sole reason driving its growth.
Well, i can say it in this way. If peoples really want an iPhone regardless on how many Android devices there is out, they would still get an iPhone.
So the fact that peoples have the choices, they choose Android phones over iPhones for the most part.
Then you said this:
And you made a statement to Duel I think that all he and I do is believe everything we see on the internet about what is said about iPhone 5. I invite you to recall something YOU have been pushing in our faces - Do you recall the comparison that you thought was so fair (Galaxy S2 vs iPad 2)? The reason you felt it to be fair is because you seem to believe that the next iPhone will have the same hardware as the iPad 2. Why do you think this? Because you BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE INTERNET!
Ok, let me just say it this way. Rumours is rumours. But when the rumours are from inside reports from someone from Apple them self, then the rumours are more than just normal rumours.
EVERY of the experts and everyone of those who knows Apple in and out say iPhone 4G / 5 will either be a poor update of the current iPhone 4. Or it will be a fully update where it have the same hardware as the iPad 2.
And when EVERYONE says it, then yeah, it's more than just a rumour.
And lol, you say Apple is always full of suprises?
Yeah i bet the notification system in iOS 5 that is a pure copy of the notification system in Android was a full suprise to i'll guess?
I bet it was a full suprise that Apple gives a damn to update their UI in iOS?
I bet it was a full suprise that there was little new things in iOS 5 to?
Here i could go on for ages, but i don't think i see the point in that because you are to narrowed to see what i'm talking about anyways.
That's from last year and you can't base your claims out of it today. We have to wait and see when the new report are coming.
And do you really know why customers are so happy with their iPhones?
It's because they are in the Apple religion where all of their Apple products are working so well together.
And because of that, they are so happy with their products even when most peoples knows that there exist many other phones out there that are both much better and are working much better than any iPhones.
So there you have the reason why iPhone users loves their mighty and holy iPhones.
And then to your next reply. Doesn't help on how many phones Samsung have, they are 2 times bigger than Apple and have much more experience than Apple in making good phones that actually work to call with.
Yes, you can't even call with the iPhone 4 because you are holding it wrong and are blocking the GSM signals.
Isn't that what we call for awesome phone LOL?
Even if hitler ruled the Germany it doesn't mean that Germany was the rest of the whole world. Germany is Germany.
I have multiple friends that have the problem with the antenna if they are in areas with poor GSM signals. They can barly use the phone to call with then.
So the antenna problem is far from coming from fandroids. I would rather say that it's full damage control from the weird iPhone 4 users that bought a phone that you can't call with if you are in areas with poor GSM signals.
Now, you said this: Consumer Reports even stated they were unable to do so as well.
Well, i don't think ANYONE in here believes anything of the bullshit you are saying when you gets prooven to be a lying prick by this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RD188LlRBGM
Enjoy that. And please come with more lies, so i have something to laugh at.
You say you MAY have gotten a bad Galaxy S?
When you used 30 mins to start up the phone, it's ofc a faulty / bad Galaxy S you have got. That's nothing to deny when it's about that.
EndlessDream94, doesn't matter if the Galaxy S II get a bit hot, because it's designed to handle that.
Oh noes, my computer is getting a bit hot when i'm gaming, WELP, the computer sucks waaaah waaaah waaah.
To me it sounds like you can't have a gaming computer, you can't even own a car because oh noes, the engine gets very hot. You can't own an external harddrive, because it gets a bit hot when you are copying alot of things over to it, or the other way.
Even if some things gets a bit hot, it doesn't mean it's going to burn your house or anything else down.
Now you say this: We are not talking about "runs a little hot" we are talking about phones running so hot they shut down or they smell like plastic burning!!!! A little hot????
You clearly have never ever owned another phone in the world except for the iPhones.
If you really think the Galaxy S II gets so hot that it will melt the plastic, then i'm afrad i have to say you're very wrong.
How many on the Galaxy S II forum section do you find that have burned their Galaxy S II phones?
I'm gonna tell you the exact number, because i'm a very active user on that forum every day.
There is 0 users that have burned their Galaxy S II phones, even after overclocking their Galaxy S II phone from 1.2 GHz to 1.6 GHz where they have to turn the Core voltage from 1275 mV to 1400-1500 mV.
No one have burned their Galaxy S II phones even after that.
So the fact that you're lying so much that it comes green smoke out of your mouth and ass, says everything about you here.
When you can't do other things than lying here, then i recommend you to piss off.
iPhones still can't do crap COMPARED to Android phones. End of story and simple as that.

And "can't do shit". Fanboy comment. Nothing more. Nothing to support it. The iPhone has proven its worth since its being integrated into so many business areas and even in the medical field.
Duel, 06 Jul 2011"was so mad when the phone started acting up - which was about 2 weeks in btw." T... moreDuel, I think users of these high end devices start out in denial over the problems they experience. Such as the overheating issue - they just deal with it or act like its normal. It its certainly not normal for even acceptable for a plastic smartphone to get that hot that it shuts itself off or you can smell plastic burning.
Tom-Helge, 06 Jul 2011Samsung: 24.8%
LOL. Who cares about how Apple is growing when Apple is about 4... moreLets pick apart more of what you said, shall we?
"Yeah, clearly Apple is winning with it's tiny 8.7% against Samsung's massive 24.8% lol."
That 8.7% is ALL iOS running devices (phones). Samsung makes a multitude of feature phones as well, not to mention some Bada devices, among other things. I'd be curious to see what percentage of that is just their Android contribution.
"Other than that, Android rules the world."
Yea and Hitler ruled Germany.
"Who cares about that when you can't even call with the iPhone 4 because of it's stupid antenna design loooool?."
Actually the ones laughing then and now are the iPhone users that after trying - could NOT replicate the problem described. So they laughed at all of the foaming at the mouth Fandroids that thought this meant the end of the iPhone. Nope it soldiered on and sells wonderfully. EVERY iPhone 4 user I know could also not replicate the problem. Consumer Reports even stated they were unable to do so as well. However conversely The HTC Sensation (how sensational) drops not only calls, but bluetooth and wifi signal.
There is a psychological term for it when someone points out the flaws of someone else yet ignores the flaws of themselves and the thing they support. Wish I could remember it. It applies here to you and how you are.
BTW - I may have indeed gotten a bad Galaxy S. But my reaction to it is understandable. Given that my experiences with iOS were bright and trouble free. However after using a few other android devices I am inclined to think otherwise.
Tom-Helge, 06 Jul 2011Really, so is it me or is it you that belives the claim that Apple will sell 15 million iPhone... moreJust wanted to add a bit of a different angle here Tom...
I think you had said that Android has become the Windows of the mobile OSes. I agree with that statement. To analyze why I agree lets look at it this way: Windows is available on so many computers and comes in such cheap variants (the computers not the OS) that so many people have them. Its bragged by fanboys all over as being the best choice because of the flexibility of it. The downside to that is its a widely adored platform for viruses and malware and everything else that is bad for a computer. This whole "open" feel that they've touted as great - its its biggest problem. Compare that to the Mac OS and the whole experience. Its a much more controlled system in terms of quality and design. The OS is not as customizable as Windows (but it doesn't really need to be since it works so well). The malicious threats to the OS are minimal and overall stability and customer satisfaction among Mac users is quite high (usually ranking at or near the top). Apple's desire to keep to a slim product line and a narrow list of internal component support has allowed them the opportunity to focus closely on that quality and making sure things run smoothly in all areas. Apple has achieved this.
Now take a look at these two approaches to the mobile class. Android = Windows. iOS = Mac OS. Android just wants to be on EVERY device out there... mainly for the purposes of shoving ads down users throats. Makers of Android handsets will offer all sorts of variants, now matter how unsupported they are at release time, just so they can help Android grow. And its for that uncontrolled growth and ease of getting a cheap android phone, not because people want it or love it so much, that Android has grown its share so fast. Apple on the other hand looks it at waaaay differently than Google. While Google is consumed with market share, Apple is more focused on making ALL of their devices run smooth, efficient, COOL, and trouble free.... EVEN IF that means sacrificing putting in the fastest processor on the planet or adding in components that do nothing more than drain battery life.
And the idea that everybody moves to Android because they want one is absurd. The availability of devices running it is the sole reason driving its growth. Had they only released a few Droids and kept it closed to a few phones... Android would have never gone anywhere. Just take for example the number of Droids sold. It was a decent amount but not near the iPhone.
I know you disagree but its more impressive to see a company only make a few different phones yet capture 27% of the smartphone market. While Android only has 38% in the US... that isn't much more when you think about phones on an individual basis.
I for one - do not fully believe Apple will just simply shove the same iPad 2 hardware into the next iPhone. Apple is always full of surprises and I keep telling people not to believe every rumor you hear. Whether it has it or not, I currently am keeping an open mind as to what hardware it will have under the hood. Whatever it is I guarantee it will run iOS pretty fast and smooth and efficient. And on top of that we can almost bet on great battery life once again. Apple is a pro at power management.
And this may interest you... its from last year but I can't see it changing that much. And I can't see Samsung moving from the place they are on the chart much higher:
Kinda paints a clearer picture that iPhone users (at this time last year) were quite happy. And the best phone on Apple's list was still just the 3GS!

Twenty five million iphone 5's in THREE month :D this is getting interesting. Huge numbers, Apple always been very realistic about what they can do.
Let see how the numbers look january.
Duel, 06 Jul 2011How long samsung has made phones? exactly :D LOL
Still apple is doing better than samsung, ... moreDoesn't help when you see how small Apple is compared to Samsung.
And because Samsung have been in the mobile indusrty for ages, then they know how to make mobile phones.
They would never release Galaxy S if it had been as bad as Endless under are claiming it to be.
Galaxy S is a very good and nice phone that is fast and very smooth.
It got pretty much good feedbacks from most reviews out on the internet, so it IS a good phone.
Ok, so what you are saying now is that Galaxy S II wont swell any better than Galaxy S?
Ok, then let me say this. What makes you then think that iPhone 5 will sell any more phones than iPhone 4 then?
Like i also have said multiple times to now, the iPhone market share wont go that much up because first of all, most of those who are going to the iPhone 5 are already iPhone / iOS / Apple users.
The only reason why the market share will go up a little for iPhone 5 / iOS is because of the very few peoples that joins the iOS world from another smartphone.
And if i'm going to be totally honest, i think Meego is as good as Android and it's way way better than any iPhone / iOS devices would ever be.
The sad thing is that Nokia is going to abandon Meego. It's a platform that actually have a very good future like Android.
So Nokia N9 is a phone i would buy ANY days before any other iPhones.
HAHAHAHAHAHA, the fact that you think that iPhone 5 is going to sell 15 million units the first months tells me you are talking bullshit all over the discussion here.
Apple must have manipulated you completely around if you really think iPhone 5 will sell 15 mill units the first month.
I mean JESUS, are you for real?

Why you think galaxy s2 do any better? because first galaxy wasn't.
It still have same situation, competing with other android phones and with iPhone 5. and then there's nokia meego phone and also nokia's wp7 phones, if someone want them.
Apple is growing and growing, maybe 15 million iPhone 5 sold in first month, still i think it's goin to be even faster. IPhone 5 is going to explode the phone markets.

Yeah, clearly Apple is winning with it's tiny 8.7% against Samsung's massive 24.8% lol.
iPhone 5 wont make any more bigger grow than iPhone 4 made a grow from iPhone 3GS.
Ofc, the market share will go up a liiiiiiiiiiiitle tiny bit because there is always some new iOS users.

Then to your next reply.
You call a Galaxy S II for a phone with many problems?.
Who cares about that when you can't even call with the iPhone 4 because of it's stupid antenna design loooool?.
Pretty awesome phone i must say that can't even be used as a phone.
Then you said this: If user don't want android Phone, most of them pick iPhone. So Apple has so much better situation than other brands competiting against about android markets.
When it comes to seperate brands, then Apple as a brand is doing fine against the other brands. But when it comes to Android vs iOS, then Android wins there hands down.
I'm not saying Galaxy S II doesn't have problems. I'm saying it have problems but those problems are so small that it wont have anything to say for the daily usage.
If the music player doesn't work, then install another one. if the web browser is strange, then install another web browser.

And not only that, but the case that the Galaxy S II gets a bit hot is possible to fix software wise.
It's the same logic for the Alienware hardcore gaming laptops. IF i want the best laptop with the best hardware specs, then ofc the laptop is going to get very hot while using it.
But hey, it's you and you don't understand this kind of basic things. You barly knows what a smartphone is lol.
So why do i actually talk with a person who barly knows what a smartphone is?
And again, you fail to see the whole point on having most thing like camera, mp3 player, games and so on in one device.
When i'm just taking normal pictures when i'm out with my friends and that kind of things, then i don't need to take a seperate DSLR camera with me when my Galaxy S II does the job good enough for me when it's about taking pictures.
Get the point now?
By your definition, i should have a seperate laptop, seperate DSLR camera, seperate gaming console like the Sony PSP, seperate mp3 player and so on just because they are better at doing those things than my mobile phone can do lol.
I'm not denying you can't do that, i'm just saying what's the point when you can do everything of that good enough with just a smart phone?
Yeah, i'm from Norway so English is not my main language.
Ofc the iPhone market share is increasing a little, but calling it a big increasing when you see how much Android is increasing worldwide, then lol, the iPhone market share increasing is tiny the last 2 years.
That's the point, You just going fap fap fap omg the iPhone market share is increasing without even looking on how little it actually have increased the last 2 years compared to how much Android have increased the last 2 years.
Nope, i know what you are doing when you are talking about those very few devices that are faulty from the factory.
When you find some few peoples with some problems, you are overexaggerating it all about those and calling it a huuuuuuge problem yadda yadda yadda.
When it all comes to all, it's not a big problem at all. The numbers that have those few problems with those cheap Android phones are so small that you wont even notice it.
Simple as that.
If Galaxy S is not a good phone, then fine, iPhone 4 is not a good phone either then.
If you call iPhone 4 for a good phone while calling Galaxy S for a bad phone, then i have to call you for an iPhone fanboi.
Galaxy S have sold 12-13+++++++++ mill of the phone, so it can't be bad at all when iPhone 4 have sold 19 mill of it, and because of that, iPhone 4 is the best phone in the world riiiiiight?
Yeah iPhone users are more satisfied with their phones than most android users.
Well, this might come as a suprise to you, but what make you think that Android that sells WAAAAY WAY more than iPhones now isn't going to have more problems than iOS?
It's like saying 'OMG, Nokia have more problems than Sony Ericsson'. Ofc Nokia will have more problems than Sony Ericsson because when a crazy amount of peoples are using Nokia where not that many are using Sony Ericsson in comparsion, then ofc you will see that Nokia will face more problems because more peoples are using Nokia phones over Sony Ericsson phones.
Are those logics hard for you to understand?
No, you don't care if you was prooven to be a lying prick that i had to show you that i was talking the truth about my MacBook Air.
Good to know that you was prooven to be lying.
I'm not the butthurt people here, because it's you that are posting all of the waaaaah waaah omg waaah waaah panic posts.

No we should wait more when iPhone 5 is market too. that six months will be good.
iPhone 4 already outsells galaxy s by far, IPhone 5 is going to outsell galaxy s2 by far.
Haven't you thinked this. IF user want android phone, he/she has a lot of models and brands to pick, so most sold android phones eat some other android brands sells.
If user don't want android Phone, most of them pick iPhone. So Apple has so much better situation than other brands competiting against about android markets.
And still you are denial, galaxy s2 is full of problems and you try to say it's not. Sorry if you like your toyphone.

Ehhh, the fact that you call the iOS UI for good makes me think that you like iOS just because it's Apple and not because it's anything good.
There is basicly no one i know about that thinks / says the iOS UI looks good. Because it's horrible, it's ugly and it's looking like someone from rainbow heaven that have designed it.
Those problems as you are writing under user experiences is problems that so few peoples have that it's taken as no problems what so ever.
Yes, some might have those problems because of faulty devices or anything like that. So it's something that is impossible to get away from for someone that are unlucky.
But still, those who are unlucky are so few that it's not a problem at all.
So i would still buy a more cheaper Android phones like HTC Desire or HTC Desire S or Nokia N8 over ANY iPhones.
And those phones are FAR from being crappy even when they are more cheaper than iPhones.
And to the things about market share.
