1. You are still talking about the US. Again, lets look at the stats for the whole world and lets see who really are going up there.
US isn't relevant when it comes to how popular Android is.
2. Tech specs are as much relevant as software is. Tech specs is very important because before a smart phone can do everything that a smart phone is supposed to do today, then it requires alot of hardware power.
3. Yeah, Samsung is going to rule the world. Haven't you got that point yet?
Do you know why Apple isn't going the same way as Android, when it comes to hardware specs?
Simply because iOS users isn't users who demand much for a mobilephone, because their usage is way different than what the usage for Android users is.
Android users want a powerfull phone that is future proof, they want a phone that can do EVERYTHING a smart phone is capable of doing without lagging. They want a phone that is a mini computer of a sort where they can do "most" of the tasks on their mobilephone without having a laptop or computer with you.
iOS users use their devices to more of the lighter stuffs, and trhat's why iOS users isn't demanding much out of the devices.
And just because of this, it doesn't mean that there doesn't exist much better phones than iPhones out there.
And i'm pretty sure that 500000+ users each days is demanding better and better phones for a reason. And not because omg, i just reads some texts and play some games that doesn't really require much hardware power.
Android is like Windows. Windows can do everything and do it in an easy way.
4. The reason i like Samsung, is because they never stops to amaze me with their awesome mobilephones with really really good hardware specs.
They did pretty much everything right with the Samsung Galaxy S II. And you see that when all that tests the phones gives it a 6 (Max) in character.
And you see that when over 3 million have bought the phone just after 55 days. And this is even before it have been released in the US lol.
Ofc peoples love Samsung when they delivers a phone that peoples really want and when they can deliver a phone that can do EVERYTHING a smart phone is supposed to do in 2011.
Just remember that we are still in 2011 and not in 2009 where you think we are now.
5. You took that example without thinking about that a car needs handling to.
And i'm pretty sure a bad handling is something peoples doesn't want.
Samsung Galaxy S II have much better handling (because of the customization possibilities) over what the iPhones have in handling because you can't customize them.
6. The fact that you think Android is going to be in troubles in 2012 makes me think that you must be from another planet. And you much be so manipulated by Steve Jobs 'hallelujah, we are the best thing in the world propaganda' by saying that.
How can Android be in trouble when Android is the biggest mobile OS in the whole world now?
And it's also pretty funny that you say that when you see how much Android is growing. Some few months ago, Android har 300000 activations each days, and some few months later it have 500000 activations each day.
When 2011 is over, that number will be up to about 700000-800000 activations each days.
So, please explain to me why Android will be in troubles in 2012 when Android is the biggest mobile OS in the world and still growing ALOT?
Again, the link i gave earlier about fragmentation is saying the whole truth.
Doesn't matter what kind of bullshit you are saying when the facts about fragmentation on both iOS and Android is told in the link i gave earlier.
Well yeah, even when a company isn't good a PR, they can still sell extremely good.
You see Samsung Galaxy S II, it have almost no adverts, no one staying somewhere and doing the usual fap fap thing like Apple is doing over their products and so on.
Even when this is the case, then Samsung is selling tons of tons with Galaxy S II phones.
And by the way. How many iPhone 4 have Apple sold alone?
Now i'm not talking about all of the iPhones, i'm talking ONLY about iPhone 4.
Yes, the world is not only about Samsung or Galaxy S II. But most of the world are with Android.
Peoples loves choices and loves to be able to choose the phones that suits them best instead of luring them into buying an expensive iPhone 4 just because one guys goes around doing the usual fap fap fap braging about the iPhone 4.
The only chance Apple will have in the future to be able to grow bigger, is to release a cheaper version of the iPhones.
Because as things are now, more and more peoples goes over to Android. And when enough peoples have gone over to Android, then i doubt that many will go back to iOS.

Erica Sadun has commented on this phenomenon, saying that Apple has found the secret, which they now call the Post-PC era.
2. Tech specs are irrelevant.
Post away all the tech specs you want. Useless. Erica Sadun has already commented on this, what Apple calls the Post-PC era. Tech specs are not important, as long as the device performs its task for the user. The more invisible tech specs are the better.
3. Companies who follow this, will flourish, those that ignore it do so at their peril.
Nokia is realising this and working hard on WP7. You keep denying it, yet even your beloved Samsung has a WP7 prototype in the works? Why? Shouldn't the almighty specs of hardware plus Android be enough? Its because even they know Apple's approach is right, and they are scrambling to find a similar approach.
4. Samsung will continue to be a great manufacturer.
They are innovative with hardware, and offer more choice and configuration than Apple. I like iPhone, but that does not mean automatically hate Samsung. It seems that is the way you view the world. You like Samsung, therefore you must not only hate Apple, but insult people who use it. Pretty pathetic.
5. Listen.
When you argue or debate. It will get you more results. Read what others say, and tailor your response suitably. Just banging on the same points, which everyone never disagreed to, can get boring.
X: This Car A is damn fast man
Y: Yup it is, I bought the Car B cos it has 4 seats
X: You don't get it, Car A is super fast
Y: I know it's fast, but I have two children
X: The problem with your Car B is that its slower than the Car A. Look at this youtube vid, Car A is fast man

6. Personal opinion: Lastly, Android is going to be in trouble come 2012.
iOS despite the insults, has steadily moved along. Why? The insults to hardware are irrelevant (to a certain degree), as it has always been only a portal to iOS, which is what Apple is really selling. iPhone buyers are buying it for iOS. Android buyers are still buying hardware first, and Android second.
The fragmentation issues are definitely there for android. Lots of malware issues have risen, with some Android fanboys even saying "So what? There are free anti-virus". Try telling that to a common customer and a bead of sweat will form at their neck.
Android have a PR problem on their hands. Difficulty in choosing phones, an OS coming under increasing attack. So what do people do? They will go to the forums. And what do they find? Obnoxious Android fanboys thumping their chest with arrogance lol. Do you think that's a good image for Android? I dont think so.
Look at the bigger picture. Most of the guys here who responded to you have been sensible, with measured responses. You however have sounded like a broken record, and based on nothing but anecdotal evidence, as well as your beloved SGS2.
The world of Android isn't full of SGS2s my friend, it is filled with HTC, and Motorola, and high end, and low end, with this screen size, and that screen size. AMOLED, and SAMOLED, and LCD, and flip keyboard, and no keyboard, and gamepad, and no gamepad. Only telling you this, for you to realise that you yourself are an elitist.
Don't expect a response from you. This is just for you to read, and hopefully understand what most people see, that you don't. You can reply if you want. Don't really care.

And this article is about mobilephones, not tablets.
Yes, Android 3.0 Honeycomb haven't had a success yet.
But that doesn't mean Android for smartphones haven't had a success.
When it comes to the whole world, then Android already passed iOS in 2010. And have had a HUUUUUUUGE success.
And by now, Android is faaaaaaaar far over iOS when it comes to the stats for the whole world.
And another fact why some iOS users doesn't want to hear the fact that there exist much better phones out there that are even much cheaper. But because 75% of the current iPhone owners already have an iMac, MacBook of some sorts or already have an iPad, then they want to be in the same religion and don't want to realize that there is better phones out there than iPhones.
Just because iPhone is very good for you because you are in this holy Apple halleluja religion it doesn't mean that the iPhone is a smart phone that is good when you see what other smart phones have as standard today.
iPhone 3GS is very old and outdated and is a crappy phone today. Simple as that.
It have a shitty screen, it's way to small to be considered a real smartphone, it's slow (compared to smart phones today).
And the rest of it's specs is pure crap. It can't do much today with such bad hardware specs.

Android had a 600% market share boost in 2010. Now that's what i'm talking about.
Oh, this might comes as a suprise for you, but do you even know why so many brands are making Android phones?
Yes because peoples today demands SMART phones that is real smart phones. And Android doesn't have 500000 activations each days without a reason you know.
And before 2011 is over, that number will most likely be up to around 800000 activation each days.
Take a guess on why Android sells so much?
Is it because Apple makes so good phones that the peoples doesn't needs to buy other smart phones, or is it because peoples today demands much more out of a smartphone today than they did in 2008.
Yes, when it comes to development and what iOS can do, it's still back in 2008-2009.
So just to sum it up. Peoples buys Android phones in big numbers because they have the freedom to choose what kind of phone they want and because they can get something that is way better than iOS.

Android is still ahead in the world market but they also have... ehem.... How many phones???? There are like a million Android phones.... many of them just plain suck! This is compared to Apples very small list of devices running iOS.
I'm honestly more impressed when ONE company can sell an unfathomable amount of units of just a few products... over a company that has many many products but only a few stand out.
