Because most of companies profit isn't big and leave comfort zone for them could mean huge loss of money. Yes Samsung, Apple and some other huge players can take a risk and try different models just to see how people will react (remember curved screens from LG and Samsung?).
If market demands bigger screens, why would someone start to make it smaller again just to put buttons back again? 99% it will be failure. People use phones more and more for video, working with documents, social media etc where large screens are more comfortable.
Look at the iPhone - phone which was made to operate comfortable with one hand. Not sure but i think Apple are selling their plus models more then regular size models.

People who still using iPhone 4s, 5 etc are people who don't care about newest gadgets and they are not trying to be "fashionable". When their phone gonna "die", they will buy same brand just newer model.

The company was already in terrible state when they took that bet, and had lots of production issues on the devices in question. Blaming the form factor is at least, downright forced.
You can see more than obviously, that no manufacturer nowadays is leaving the comfort zone, or when they do, they just go "let's copy Apple, whatever they do, good or bad". Heck there's a stupid app for making a notch on your screen to see the extent of that cult. What would be the comfort zone? Bigger screen, thinner phone, thinner bezels, selfies, selfies and more selfies. Do we need more? OK make the screen even bigger.
You could count on your hand, one of the hands is enough, how many leave from this comfort zone and try anything different from a slab with huge screen. You can't even see if anything else will sell because since this IS selling right now, they don't bother trying anything else. It's easy to make a pizza place and when it goes well, saying that hot-dogs ain't nothing. After all, your pizza is selling.

Flips, sliders, ... moreBlackBerry was making phones with qwerty keyboard. And pretty good quality and "fashionable". But Almost went bankruptcy with that. People are not buying those type of phones anymore.
Manufacturers are not making phones for fun but for business.

Flips, sliders, full hardware QWERTY, swivel, anything you can imagine. Touch screen keyboard is NOT a worthy replacement of any hardware key, it's just a compromise to make it without keys and hence smaller.
People have been using the argument of "It's not like all phones should have it, you can chose the best option yourself" for stuff like the headphone jacks being taken out, but in the end there's simply no options if the manufacturer just removes the options, and so they did with anything non touch screen only. You can't even tell if people would want a flip/slider/hardware QWERTY phone since any option available nowadays is crap (except that Samsung one... that is China exclusive to begin with).

And nowadays phones are like that because people are buying more large screen phones. It's all about the market and what people demand not about fun :)

This phone would never be popular in Europe. People ate looking for bigger screens and use phones instead of computers often. 4" display? If only you are using phone just for calling. Samsung will never bring it to Europe because they would loose money more then gain from that.
Anyone could tell me advantage of flip phone? In past they were popular because screens were small and flip phone was smaller plus you were protecting your main screen.
But this is bulky phone... personally I don't see why it would be better then regular phone nowadays.

Alien , 28 Nov 2017Flip phones are still very used in Asia mainly because it is very easy for them to type using ... moreso true. In Europe these would sell, just for the fun factor and the fact we used to own flip phones. All we get now is the same communist brick form factor, they are all the same. Except SONY with the mirror, chrome finish, which makes you forget you own the same brick as everybody else.

GORGEOUS!!! Why Samsung doesn't sell this in Europe makes no sense, so much rich people who used to own flip phones, including young people. We are sick of these brick phones, 2 displays seems kinky and the specs are cool.

What's the point of two same size screens? If you want a keyboard you'll not use front screen or if you want to use mainly front screen buy regular phone.
i'd love a smart flip-phone. although this particular one seems to be much too large when unfolded. still, it'd be cool to have one that's in with the times.
