Samsung S1(i9003) is good for all the features of Android but it's not as fast as S2(i9100) not as slim as S2 nor as Vibrant as S2. If you are not a game freak on S1 then I think u can save some bucks by going for it. OR wait until August when S3 is up to come with iPhone5 release and S2 prices might drop a little.
Im going to wait until August anyhow..

I had one since last week. very very good one indeed! smooth as it has to be. has everything that android offers. plus, it will get many updates as it sells like hell. top fone right now.

it's thinking like this that takes away all the fun of using a mobile phone.
I mean seriously? 3 years old kids? do you think that a 800$ smartphone is intended to be handled by a kid like a toy or something?
why do people always assume that a simpler, more stripped out ,more restricted OS is the way to go?
are users really that stupid that they can't figure out how to operate a phone?
it's not rocket since you know
for me at least ,it's the learning period that's always the most fun when using a new OS.
remember: an easy OS= dump+restricted OS

Man, if that phone was a chick, everybody would be feasting their eyes of her!
I told my friends here - that's Mauritius - that I got it at $575 (around MRU Rs 19,000) UNLOCKED! And as usual, they would not believe me!
Was a die hard Nokia fan, changed for Samsung, haven't got the slightest regret!

Good news for Sammy. But don't be an overconfidence company. Lots progress will create a lots of good products. But remember about the lawsuit from Apple for "Touchscreen" with captive methods patents. I think Sammy must do more lots progress for winning in patents and then boosting again for creating more smartphones with the good quality and also good price. Don't forget about after sales services such as upgrading firmware and development in software especially BADA!!!!. I REALLY WAITING FOR THIS OS. BADA will be the real technology business of Samsung coz all thing in hardware and software created and developed by yours. Congratz for Sammy forcreating more good and better records in IT. I hope will be the best and conquer the IT competition in this world.
