Hi, My OP3 facing the same problem, & when I searched about it, I acknowledged so many OP3 users facing the focus problem. Anyway, nobody is exposed because OnePlus isn't a main stream company. GSMarena should've to write about it.
Yes , it's true.
i think this is a hardware issue as my wife was facing this issue after restarting the phone several times it not get fine
finally had to tap it around camera lens a few times to get this issue sorted.
i am using s8 plus but the issue is there on my wife s8 very disappointed with quality.
Quick fix as my partner has had the issue...shake the phone, and it automatically refocuses. He's had to do it once, and its fixed it.
Planned obsolesence!! Samsung wants people to buy its new S9

AnonD-83516, 29 Nov 2017I wonder if they will fix it on the S9. With two cameras in the back you'll have to flick yo... moreS9 new feature: double tap to focus
The next samsung s9 might recharge in 12 minutes or note 9 with 45% extra battery length. Samsung always finds a way to impress with a different device every time. Almost always worth buying the next one and the next one and so on. Using a graphene mineral in the battery.
Happened with my S8 as well. Definitely a hardware issue as Samsung Repair Centre replaced the camera module and I have had no issues since and my S8 is back to taking excellent photos. Anyone experiencing this take the device to your nearest Samsung Centre and have it repaired (under warranty of course). Will only take couple hours if the module is in stock, got mine back next day as they were out of modules.
Sorry but this phone has to many problems mine is going back 13 days of shit first red screen then ghost buttons now this bye bye s8 I'll stick with my iphone se and I'm waiting for the new iPhone!
Have had this issue for a while. Brought the phone into the Samsung repair centre a few days ago and they said they were waiting on more camera modules to arrive and have reserved one for me, but its a known issue to them and will only take 2-3 hours to fix. Apparently they replace the battery at the same time.
I had same issue with my Samsung A9 Pro, when visited service center. They replaced the camera.
My Sony Xperia x, X compact and XZ1 DON'T have any issues 😂
Occasionally there is a bug in the physical camera, so just flick it off and itl work. Seems like a lose af coil/lens mechanism is getting jammed
It is very old issue since launch of the phone. It is not a bug it is hardware related issue. Since fingerprint scanner is next to camera, pressing it to hard some times effects focus mechanism, to fix it just gently tap your phone at back panel to unstuck your focus mechanism.(lenses)
