If not, there is really no reason to buy Xiaomi Redmi phones anymore.

Now is still try & error for most manufacturer to introduce a Mid & low range 18:9 screen, even Samsung is reluctant to launch low to mid range 18:9, cheapest probably A5 (2018) which easily double of Redmi 5+ other like Huawei P10 lite, Vivo 7+, Oppo F5 isn't exactly cheap & specs are like have this then without that.

Xiaomi been smart to keep there card facing down.

Redmi 5 should be the cheapest 18:9 screen in the market for $150

So at the end is the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus not the Redmi Note 5. Are they going to have the same trash cameras at night? And when the Redmi Note 5? 2018?

Too late with all the new models that is being releasing.

My advise to anyone will buy Redmi series dont expect updates as mi series.

Dont get too excited because of new display.

international users check for network bands as 4G bands are limited and get india market version.

If the device makes good sales it will get updates care otherwise it will be in third batch.
