Well I said it before, and will say it again:
I LOVED the design of the V10, V20 not so much. The V10's stainless (or gold) side rails, and the durability of the product - except the overheating - was awesome.

All they had to do was keep both product models going and IMPROVE THEM FFS! how hard can it be?????? G6? MEH... no removable battery (some liked it but too much like the Galaxy series). Re-jig the V10/V20 production line and fix their problems & you'll have a legion of fans.

Give us;
Removable battery,
Headphone jack,
Two SIMS plus SD slot,
Second screen,
IR blaster,
FM Radio
Manual camera controls,
and dropability - nothing breaks!

and I'm yours forever.

However LG need to lift their game on QC, programming, design and marketing (read - user support and acknowledgement of when they get things wrong!)
Typical LG inability to be honest about mistakes. Until they fix those things they'll never compete on the world smartphone stage.
Whoever they have in charge of marketing and manufacturing needs to be sacked... end-of-story. The drovers dog could do a better job.

Finally. LG mobile division had the worst marketing team in the world. Just look at different LG G6 features across different countries and slow uncertain release time.
The specs problem fixed with V30, but then the phone exists only in your daydream without actual product sold globally.
They're wasting too much time making short boring ads without properly highlights what's so great about the phone.

Sorry about the rants, but I really think LG should improve their strategy, especially since their flagship lineups are starting to get a fame.

LG could consider to release 24-28" OLED 4K computer monitor, 13-15" OLED 4K notebook screen. surely these will be new source of income, no competitors yet.

forget about the phone business. samsung is doing better. no way to beat samsung.

LG, hopefully your new mobile boss will fix the most important problem: horrendous release schedule. When you announce a flagship, it’s important to have it released as soon as possible and as easy as possible to purchase. You can announce your flagships before Samsung does, but it’s stupid to release after them.

Anonymous, 01 Dec 2017It's too early to claim that. Next year when no g6 or v30 or an extremely tiny amount of them ... moreG4 got bootlooped around 5months after launch V10 got after 3-4 months G5 althought not as major as those two bootlooped after 7-8 months V20 around 2 months and was very minor only a few of them bootlooped and it was because of bad usb type c cables and no G6 bootlooped till now only few got it after tmobile pushed a bad update other than that none so its pretty much fixed if not completely

Hope he brings improvements to the LG phone branding. In the world of Pixel, Galaxy, Note, iPhone etc. the names like V30 and G6 are just not attractive. They sound more like prototypes than desirable products regardless of their actual quality.

G2 was innovative, after that LG mobile lose ground, lower chip was over price, update only good in g series, Vseries hi end was late, hopefully this will fix

LG V30 is hard to get in OZ + the price tag is quite high compare to S8 , some people lost their excitement and buy iphone or samsung instead of LG , dont understand why LG never have stock in ASIA / OZ

Anonymous, 30 Nov 2017But Sony next year will present the successor of the IMX 400.Then it will be the only time that the IMX400 be available for the competitors. And the new IMX500 will be announced at IFA 2018 so the G7 will have to use a pre-IMX400 first and only the V40 can have the IMX400.
