I'd take even 8GB internal with microSD compared to 256GB internal because once you screw up your phone good luck getting those 256GB data out of your phone LOL.. With microSD I can just pop the card out and put it into a new phone.. Such simplicity and convenience of a truly SMART phone..
For a business user / Work User - 32 GB with SD Card is more than enough , i get for example around 8 - 12 gb free space , plus free space in SD Card.
I can also work without SD CARD ( Like Apple or Oneplus ) on 32GB but that will be stretching to last 1 - 2 GB , hence the best minimum is 64GB in that case as all my photos , Videos will occupy the extra GB , apart from Apps so 64GB without expandable storage ( 55GB you get out of box normally ) .
64GB with SD Card is a bit too much , but if you get a good budget phone then you can go with it.
I dont install too many games , all are bussiness apps , evernote , Gmail & google apps , & news app , apart from my photos / videos & work documents ( 4 - 5 GB )
Anonymous, 04 Dec 2017256Gb internal & 256Gb external r enough %100 of course base on UFS 3.1 or above & U5 ... moreyou are aware that in data marking when you want to sign BYTE it's marked as GB not Gb right? because
256 Gb= 32 GB. each BYTE is 8 BIT.
"Low end phones don't have expandable storage."
You mean high end, coz most people dumb enough to buy most of those high end phones, every year at that, are usually clueless about expandable storage and stuff, having more money to spend (from heritage) than brain matters
latest Samsung devices supporting UFS cards. Much better and faster than internal storage.
as i am a somewhat hardcore but not extreme for a comfortable level without me ever having to think about clearing space (maybe once a year is ok) is:
a) 64GB if there is expandable DEDICATED SD card slot (else is 128GB)
b) 128GB for non-expandable, hybrid slot, and dual-sim hybrid slot

When you're accessing the same SD (Or any other external storage) from your computer, you don't say "Oh my computer is so slow because of it". It isn't, only the the external media (Access to it) is slow.

lamerjakprase, 03 Dec 2017Actually, it was quite correct (iPhones are lowend phones)Jobs clearly said it is made to those not familiar with tech, so spare them with be the first taste advance tech innovation
Hey, where 64GB+SD CARD? 64GB for heavy game and big chace apps then SD CARD for multimedia. But Okay I will pick 64GB option.
64GB + MicroSD expansion is good enough
128GB is no MicroSD expansion, especially if with many apps that are becoming more and more bloated.
Everything.Apple.Pro, 04 Dec 2017I would like to see the day of zettabyte mainstreamRemember remember!!
According to future contents for example 128K movies one day a zettabyte ram isn't enough!
5124Yb ROM and 24Yb RAM r ideal xD
Anonymous, 03 Dec 20171yottabyte is good storage lolI would like to see the day of zettabyte mainstream
I do fine with 32GB now. No SD card.
I think I'd be quite comfy with 64 in my next phone.
I certainly wont pay another hundred bucks to get 128GB just for the prestige factor.
If I was downloading TV episodes to watch on my commute then I might think differently, but I don't.
