Better waiting for they launch redmi note 5, compare the specs then I'll decide between redmi 5 plus or redmi note 5 to replace my two years old mi4c..

From the pics, it looks like the Redmi 5 has a plastic frame and a metal back. While the Plus has a metal frame and back and plastic inserts on top / bottom for antenna just like the current note 4.
I guess the all metal design of mi max 2 and MI A1 is too expensive for this segment. Fair enough.
I like this arrangement. I like plastic phones, especially the well built ones like the Nokia Lumias and the HTCs of old.

I would have preferred that they maintain the capacitive buttons in that bottom bezel. I see enough space for them. I'm disappointed with it.

The Redmi 5 Plus looks like the succesor of the Redmi Note 4 in terms of performance and specifications. The question is: What will Xiaomi do with the Redmi Note serial? Do not continue it? Or... push it a step higher and make it more premium between Redmi 5 Plus and Mi Note 3? I would like to know the answer... who knows. And interesting too, watch what Xiaomi will release to compete with the new Huawei/Honor army in the mid-premium or premium segment.
