I think Xiaomi is going to abandon the "Note" moniker and go on with "Plus" instead. However, there is no point to call it "Note". It doesn't have a pen, does it??! It's better to go apple way of naming. Even Samsung calls the pen-less bigger brother S8 Plus nowadays!!

As per usual, very disappointing choice of weak chipsets... I seems that Xiaomi targets the high market and the very low market while abandoning the mid level market. Very sad.

The 18:9 display is the only feature that distinguishes it from the Note series

Oh nooo. I really hope that redmi series come with body like redmi 4 prime with 5.3 or 5.4 inch screen. I mean, just reduce the up and down bezels.
Now, with the redmi 5 plus, it's even way taller than redmi note 4x.
Sad.

The Huawei Honor 7X is 130$ more expensive and a 3340 mAh battery vs 4000 mAh on the Xiaomi. So i guess the price is right for both devices. Huawei better GPU and Camera and Xiaomi better battery life and quite cheaper.
