Probably because it's too expensive. The price is over the top as if this is the last iPhone to be made. And based on the recent Consumer Reports, the durability is not reliable which is one of the vital factors if you are considering a top end device with a staggering steep price. It's like you're putting your money in a trash of fire.

Fastest SoC yes that i agree but its not fully used and end result is its not faster than current android flagship in real life scenario.
Best Camera = nope pixel 2 beat it and note 8 is as good still its a big improvement over previous iphone that had crappy camera.
6 hours screen on time = Sorry thats nothing special getting 7 hours or more is easy on most flagship device.
Apple iphone X screen to body ratio = 81.49%
LG V30 = 83.24%
Mi mix 2 = 82.63%
Essential ph-1 = 84.85%
note 8 = 83.6%
I could continue and add more if you wish.
Iphone X is not the highes screen to body ratio unless you only compare to iphone.
So please stop wasting our times.

I own a Note since Note 2, that series is literally the poster boy of losing steam *and* inflating prices.
Note 3 for example was the best phone in the following categories:
Screen quality (first FHD amoled)
RAM (first 3GB phone)
Best SoC (both CPU and GPU was top for its time)
Battery life (first removable 3000+ battery)
Pen
And of course fully featured for its time.
Note 8 by comparison.
Not best in *any* of those categories

as a samsung note 8 owner i am happy with my choice of device, its personally the best model on the market right now, its priced high compared to the competition but at least it is full of new tech, but the competition is closing and in some respects are borderline with Samsung, I do really think the iphone X is a lovely looking piece of kit, but its just rediculously overpriced for what it is, greed is talking here, i do think that given all the iphone x problems since launch, oled issues, green lines, cold temp issues with phone, random reboots, speaker issues, volume control bug, screen burn in problems, bluetooth connectivity bug and so on! that it is a bit of an unfinished product, and that if there was to be a new model next year that it would be much better all round, but £1000 for a phone is ludicrous, and i paid £869 for my note 8 outright, if it goes up again i will consider jumping to another company

Sa... moreAndroid users are generally chill, it’s Samsung supporters that constantly bash apple, which is easy to see why, as it frustrates them that apple outsells Samsung in the flagship segment at least 2-1 despite Samsung constantly discounting their flagships to push market shares. As a tech enthusiast, i don’t like how apple prices all their products (more expensive than everyone out there specs to specs), but I suppose it’s cool for people who like to pay extra for the brand and “lifestyle”.

Saying that iPhone X is far behind in tech and usability is totally wrong.
I'm android user since ever and overall I dont like Apple ecosystem, but, their devices are good and the X is on the same league of any Android top device (not to say that its CPU/GPU is better than any current droid). It is certainly overpriced though.

The fact is iphone x is a unfinished, improper and unstable device, another fact is it is far behind in technology and usability compared to galaxy s8 or other Android flagships. They have profits per device sold for using cheap components but having a high price tag. Their profit doesn't make it a superior device nor they'll give you a penny of their profits. As consumers we think about our profit, some users see it in having good device in low budget, some users see it in having the latest and greatest tech. Iphone x gives nothing but you are still concerned about profit earned by Apple, funny.

There are like 5-6 phones with higher screen to body ratio. The iPhone X has huge side bezels.

(uhm no? ever heard of the note 8? the one plus 5T? the xperia XZ Premium? The LG V30/G6+? they are superior to the iphone in almost every way.

Best screen... moreYa... But the one that kill it is the ios itself, more specifically is the way apple design navigation in ios 11 on iphone X, it just half thought, i mean... Where the supposedly implementation on 3d touch? They can do so much about navigation in iphone X if they properly use the 3d touch which is the tech that they brag about back in iphone 6s
Honorable mention is the lack of fingerprint scanner coze' people want option instead of force migration
