When they bought the fingerprint company, they stop issuing software updates to support their hardware. Yeah it's just business but it's my business when i paid for it.

Is it just me or does Apple like to aqquire anything that competes against them. E.g. I bought a 2nd gen beats pill before Apple aquired them It was still under warrenty when the battery stopped charging. By this time Apple had aquired beats and my existing warrenty was now obsolete. Apple wanted £93 to replace the battery. And then it was not guaranteed it would be replaced it could be a refurbished model.

Anyways, Google Assistant will be able to help the Android Users. So, no worry for me. But it will be an interesting competition here between SIRI and Google Assistant....

Shazam died about a year ago.
I don't know whether they reduced the server's or database it accesses but it went from being extremely reliable to a kids top 40 hits app.
Tracker ID was never an alternative for people who like electronic music as it requires lyrics in a song & samples didn't work, I tried many times.

Sony might not bring it back again anymore (just my thought without any scientific justification) but when they do, I can only assure that it would be a hell lot better than ever and beat out most of the alternatives.
