I don't believe HTC at all. They have been promising and delaying Desire update for 2 months now, more like playing with us users to buy time for some other plans. They announced first to release, then refused to release and then realized the reactions of users will be very negative and so re-announced release plans.
I think HTC should be penalized for playing with our feelings.
Anonymous, 10 Jul 2011whatever htc! i already updated mine with sense3! hah!Cool Kingdom?? RCMIX?? which ROM are you using now??
is it just me, or has this seemed to take priority all of a sudden over the desire z update that was promised for the end of june?
can anyone tell me ,when will htc magic get the gingerbread update
I've such horrible experience with my HTC Hero :(
But now, I need not wait to update my phone. Bcoz, Microsoft will provide update for my phone as early as its available as long as my phone's hardware supported to do so.
Post from my windows phone (7 Mozart)
hoping that HTC mytouch 4g too will have an upadate to gingerbread..
I read on Htc's site that the wildfire won't be getting an official gingerbread update. It might be because of its hardware. I hope they come to their senses though.
That's the problem with Androids, it's all up the manufacturer, hopefully they will fix that...
I hate hTC lies.
Never again will not be taking a buy hTC phones.
Wont wait for the update, I'm trading my desire for a coffe in front of a Nokia store waiting to get my hands on a true smartPHONE like E6
3 more weeks...what the ****...we are all frustrated by waiting for this update...we don want this update anymore...HTC s**ks..we are happy with cyanogenmod 7...
Great news guys! I'm a nexus one owner. Love to have your ui, but don't want to mess around and lose some of my features if I ported it. Can't tell if gingerbread improves battery life. Which is really my main concern.

I got the HTC Desire because of the AMOLED display and nice handset back in the day. I hope Ice-Cream Sandwich comes to Desire or HTC will be my last device from them. Probably say hello to Galaxy S despite the plastic material they use.
HTC Sense???? No... It is now called HTC "De-Sense" since they will downgrade the Sense UI to fit Gingerbread....
So next time buy galaxy s or xperia series so you don't have to worry regarding firmware updates... maybe this is the last update for HTC Desire.... So what will happen once Ice Cream Sandwich will be available? They will totally remove the Sense UI? So it will be called HTC "Non-Sense" hahaha...
