Its an old concept that has actually failed as you can see from Project Ara and LG G5, even Moto. People simply not into having clutter. Consumers want simplicity.

Demonal, 15 Dec 2017Lol, another copy of the ZTE Axon M??!!!! Samsung is starting to lose the innovation. That's t... moreRight....
I had an interesting Idea for a smartphone.
Having a smartphone that has two screens. (like the Axon M or Galaxy X) that is detachable. similarly to the concept of the Galaxy X. each unit has it's own speakers and camera. BUT. it's detachable. you could do ANYTHING on unit A and do anything else on Unit B. and the more awesome part. each piece has it's own SoC. but they collaborate. the hinge is hidable into one of the piececs.
Now. you're probably wondering what's innovative here. DUE to the fact we're all humans and we might lose one of the pieces. (Either the main unit or the extension) there are 3 Bluettooth moduls. 2 on the main, of Bluetooth 5 and 4.2 with the 5 being fully user accesible and the 4.2 is just for the binding. and another bluetooth 4.2 for the extension piece to fulfil the binding.
so if one piece exits the link zone. you're notified and it will not disappear from the notification panel until you find it back. that 4.2 connection is NOT user accessible. and it's meant for the security of the device being with it's two pieces.
Now. you're PROBABLY wondering. "But I'll have to charge two devices if it's detachable. no?" Well. no. the Hinge allows transmission of energy from the main unit to the secondary. so you can enjoy having ONE device with TWO seperate bodies.
each screen can show it's OWN content. and when connected. it can extend to a SINGLE MEGA wide. (something like 16:18 aspect ratio, or 18:18 if you're a fan of the tall screens) so you can have a social gameplay with one phone.
what do you think about THAT?
P.S. for the safety of the people. the hinge when open transmits electicity ONLY when the main phone is connected to the charger.

Just bring any decent bluetooth gamepad to attach the phone and that's it. Using the touchscreen as gamepad is a bad idea, many games (FPS, fighting, etc) needs accurate control and the touchscreen can't provide the same experience as the traditional controlers.

Using your touchscreen as gamepad is horrible If you can't see anything. If your finger moves even little, you don't know anymore where the button is and you are pushing unfunctional area.

What Samsung is thinking? Well actually Samsung never cared about usability, they just bring stuff and hope someone will use them, and usually they don't.
