Anonymous, 19 Dec 2017Err... Facebook got paid to shove those "promoted" posts in the first place in our timelines.
... moreExactly, why should you promote your page for free?
Why not pay Facebook to get likes, and interest? That's the plan.
AnonD-632062, 19 Dec 2017Finally. A real sensible move from Facebook.Err... Facebook got paid to shove those "promoted" posts in the first place in our timelines.
Ironic, isn't it?
Finally. A real sensible move from Facebook.
AnonD-478769, 19 Dec 2017Lol what are you even trying to do? Your comment is no different from theirsProving that it doesn't work? Showing how annoying it is? Relax, I was just joking. :-)

Great! Great!
They should do this on youtube too.
AnonD-715008, 18 Dec 2017Oh God! Thankfully this is happening finally. Hallelujah.
Facebook is a litter box, this new action is so wrong..
Like this comment if you think Facebook did the right thing!
Seriously, good news. If I am interested in something I will read or even react but don't beg me to make your page more popular if it doesn't deserve it.
Iskander, 18 Dec 2017Does this include the 'type amen' style posts? Or do they let that one get a free hall pass? Amen, brother.

Number ... moreThese are often ads on shady websites too (like streaming) and even on legit websites like MSN News, websites using OutBrain or Taboola advertising networks. Recently Google began pushing these ads too, so it would be safe to assume FB is doing it too.
I think this goes under comment baiting, so yep, these types of comments will be included.
I have always thought of FB as foolishness. Regardless, I had a yen recently to track down a couple of friends I hadn't seen in sometime. I began to wonder whether or not my friends had created FB accounts. I decided the easiest way to find out if my friends were on FB was to create my very own FB account. Woe betide, both of friends had FB accounts. I reached out to both of them. Each person replied (very cool :-)
HOWEVER: shortly afterwards a person I don't know who claimed to be in Mexico City began to ask for personal information you need not ever share with a stranger. Harassment. I then deleted my FB. I still stay in touch with my friends, but no more FB for me.

Yeah right. They won't lift any finger to stop the Facebook scams. No matter how much they say, we all see the opposite.
AnonD-558092, 18 Dec 2017In that case I want to downvote.Yep. that'd be me if that happens
A bit late to start pretending to show social awareness when everybody has already stopped being active on it, isn't it?
