AnonD-708551, 20 Dec 2017Lossless files need >4mb/s so that will be a useless upgrade for me, better stay with 3.5mm then.actually lossless files with high bitrate wireless sounds very close to uncompressed, any bitrate over 600kb is already really good, but at 900 kb per sec it's really awesome
It's noted that depending of the impedance, balanced output using 4.4mm or 2.5mm may be needed

The best advantage of 5.0 would be sending the audio individually to each airpod, making the airpods slightly less complicated and hopefully cheaper.

can't find AirPods anywhere in Vancouver. BestBuy, AppleStore are to bring in more stock by the end of January. Second hand items on eBay sell for a brand new price + shipping. I`v tried my brother in laws AirPods and since then been looking for them. One week has passed and no luck.

Anonymous, 19 Dec 2017So far my AirPods have met and even exceeded my expectations in some cases!Considering iPhone 8, 8 plus and x support Bluetooth 5.0, there will be higher bitrate wireless audio airpods soon, regular Bluetooth is only at 330 kb per second, sounds compressed, but Bluetooth 5.0 is at 600kb per second (same as rival codec aptx HD, but lower than ldac which is at 900 kb p sec which is truly high resolution)

after 1 month it was available, there was aplenty of stock.
same with the iPhone X, they said it will be in demand till next year, but after 2-3 weeks it was readily available everywhere, I will not trust these so called reviews or statements by anyone anymore.
