Anonymous, 22 Dec 2017Bad use of Galaxy Note 3 wallpaper. Now we can't say if that render is fake or not. oh. It's real. Why would case manufacturers will use fake renders if that's how the cases looks like.
Rafe Firman, 23 Dec 2017I'm not saying 3.5mm is bad. Previously I always using it when listening audio with 10.
And i... more and I did the same with the note 8. I used 3 different methods to check in fact:
I used the AKG earbuds that came with my phone. a dongle of 3.5mm to USB-C and an OTG piece to listen through a powerful Razer headphones that use a classic full size USB.
I agree here. The preformance through the USB-C is spectacular. but Limits freedom. And I'm an Audiophile girl.I love amazing sound but I love freedom too. so as much as I agree with you. Freedom is a neccessity for me.
Hi-Res Audio, 23 Dec 2017Report samsung for using 3.5 mm jackwhy?
I'm not saying 3.5mm is bad. Previously I always using it when listening audio with 10.
And it's great because HTC DAC and Boomsounds is miles ahead any other OEMs anyway.
But when using adapter, what's already great is now excellent, and by this comparison I know losing 3.5mm hole is not disaster, like the guy said, it's an upgrade!
And HTC10 earphones actually sound better than U11, but I'm aware that's personal preferences.
All HTC phones sound GREAT, and that what I'm looking for from Samsung. They've acquired Harman but it's just the earphones. They should put the Harman audio INSIDE the phone. I don't see it coming even for S9....

Its not because 3.5 jack is bad, it is because your HTC 10 has inferior DAC compared to DAC dongle of HTC 11. It will be awesome if your HTC 11 dac is inside the HTC 11 than outside as type C USB dongle

The leaks are always planned, usually one a day for a set number of days leading up to the launch. The fact that there have been so many and we are now coming towards the end, makes me think the S9 will be launched soon. There's nothing much left to leak, maybe one to two weeks worth at most. That would mean everything goes quiet for the next two months, which would be a PR mistake. I'm sure the event will be in January. An early S9 launch to compete with Apple, and to allow the Galaxy X to launch months later and get the hype, without losing sales for the S9.

And this should be an eye opener for 3.5mm defenders, because USB type-C does produces superior audio quality compared to 3.5mm jack.
At least this be the case with HTC, because the 3.5mm adapter provided is equipped with its own amplifier and DAC, and it boost the earphones to delivers cinematic audio experience!
Kudos to HTC!

Sweet!..... Thank you SamsungI like to share my experience...
I use htc 10 that have 3.5mm jack and later purchased u11 that doesn't but it comes with 3.5 adapter equipped with DAC inside.
As an audiophille, out of curiosity I plugged the adapter to my HTC 10 USB type-C port, and then through it I put HTC hi-res earphones to see if it works at all...
And to my surprise, not only did it works but BOY... The sound the ADAPTER produced is much much powerfull and deep, later I compared it with listening the music thru original 3.5mm jack of htc 10.
Ed Sheeran shape of you is much better on type-C with adapter! And it really makes me excited and have the sudden energy to dance haha :)
Honestly I never thought this as the end result. Now I'm always happy using 3.5mm adapter for my music experience with HTC 10, and will not comeback to 3.5mm hole again :)

I mean do people even know the difficulties in redesigning a phone ? There is only so much you can do with a rectangular block
And the worked hard in 2017 with their design its absolutely gorgeous and the curves feel sooo good in the hand
I say if anything they earned their selfs a slack year when it comes to design
I say they keep it the same and work for better efficency/ camera /performance
The less they spend ob design the mores left over for the other things is that really that hard to understand
