Anonymous, 22 Dec 2017Nothing has changed except the horrible camera position which isn't at a better location. They... moreIn fact. a centered camera is better because it helps the person that is being pictured to know where to look at. I've used a corner camera device. (Sony XZP.) and my trusty S8 (before I swapped to note 8.) and found that the images were better (Attention wise) with the S8 than with the Sony XZP.
Another reason why a centered camera is better is the tiny and annoying corrections you had to do with a cornered camera.
with a centered camera it's a direct line.
Anonymous, 22 Dec 2017Useless old design f off Samsung! You're kinda forgetting something my dear chap.
S1 and S2 had roughly the same design (S1 Roundish design, S2 better cam grip, relocated charge port.)
S3, S4, AND S5 about the same. (S3 -> S4= Shrunk chin, S4->S5 =Embedded fingerprint sensor. heartrate sensor in back)
S6 and S7 have the same design. (S6/S6E= COMPLETE overhaul, dual glass design,
S7= Grippier body, microSD)
and following this pattern...
S8 and S9 have the same design. (s8=Bezelless screen, (well. nearly. XD), S9, better located FPS)
So expect a different design in S10.
you wellcome~ ^^
Stondec100, 22 Dec 2017This is almost identical to the S8 except that the fingerprint scanner is now located in a sli... morethe 3.5mm jack swapped places too. it seems RIGHT to the charge port instead of the usual LEFT. (which is kinda confusing. I love it when it's LEFT. OCD stuff..... -_-)
Toss bixby button and come to momma S9! (EH. losing half an inch. but I NEED that power!)
Haidy, 22 Dec 2017That's Note 3's Wallpaper.Came to say the same thing. Well done. :-)
There isnt any change it is only a refresh the design is the same ås the s8 which i have and there is no dual camera most people will by the s8+ becourse of it's dual camera but the price will be very high i think the s8 and the note 8 will outsell both s9 and s9+ becourse the note 8 and s8 will be cheaper so there is no reason too upgrade
This is almost identical to the S8 except that the fingerprint scanner is now located in a slightly better position. The phone looks extremely beautiful.
DSRS94, 22 Dec 2017Why not power button as fingerprint sensor ?Because it patented (by Apple if I recall correctly). That's why Sony disabled all their fingerprint scanners for phones in the US because they have it in their power button.
Samsung has had bad button placement even before relocating the fps to the back and even aside from Bixby. The location of the volume buttons has sucked compared to other devices as well.
Nothing has changed except the horrible camera position which isn't at a better location. They are stumped and don't know what to do after their dumb Edge design. Can't see them going back to flat ever. It would be considered a downgrade to them
Alien , 22 Dec 2017Why does the fingerprint scanner has to be so close to the camera? Best position is on the si... moreWell in order to make a side-mounted FS the phone has to sacrifice itÂ’s bezel and itÂ’s thickness, if Samsung made it that way the S9 will not achieve itÂ’s design (leaked design)
This curved cornered display trend looks like an old television set.
Fingerprint is still close to camera but its much better than S8 and if its protruding it will be helpful in locating it
Every 6 hours a post about Samsung S9 like its an interesting phone.
But its not. For same price million other devices are much better,
