On what planet is the Galaxy S8 classed as a compact category phone, Its still to big for a jean or track bottoms front pocket without becoming annoying or poking out. The Iphone X is more of a acceptable size than a S8 and AMAZINGLY you had the idiotic decision to place The X into the phablet section PMSL. GSMARENA i just lost a huge amount of respect for you. SHOCKING

Mi MIX 2 is by far the most innovative smartphone of the year and it's priced lower than many of the flagships on the list.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is definitely best in class here. It's not even the most powerful device on the market, yet, people recognize greatness when it has arrived. A robust device is only as great as its software suite, and Samsung annihilates the competition in this regard.

Outstanding, synthetic benchmark scores are worthless if the device's software and ecosystem are lackluster overall. For this reason, Samsung will continue to dominate on a global scale.

The poll speaks for itself.

Merry Christmas!

Samsung may offer great software support and timely updates for their top-grade phones, but for the mid-range pack, things are not so bright. I have an A5 2017/

Don't say other great phones, because Samsung is best in all categories known to mankind, Samsung is so good that anyone who says otherwise will be hated and rejected from Society. Please don't do this brother. Samsung rules in all categories..

Please don't take this seriously, you though have spoken like a true geek with proper phone knowledge and not a 12 year old kid with his fancy collection of Samsung phones being Samsung's secret marketing agent.

While Note 8 is great overall, my heart is with HTC U11+, Oneplus 5T, Razer Phone & Sony XZ premium.

Well, I guess XZ Premium is left out from this fan poll here due to tiny 5.5 inch 4k hdr screen, slowest performance, slowest internet speeds, no speakers at all, slowest android updates, no standout camera features, and not enough overall fan votes to make it to arenas top ten fav phablets..

Its only logical right?

The others only have big screens. The Galaxy Note line actually tries to maximize the use of its big screen through the use of the wacom pen and extra software features. That's the true point of having a phablet.
