But its ever slowly catching upto AndroidWear 2.0, because Google is negligent in their closed-source wearable ecosystem. Apple remains to offer the best support for their wearable. Whilst great alternatives like Tickle and Pebble go out of business/acquired.
It's hard to recommend wearables these days to Android phones, unless, you have an iPhone and don't mind the dull aesthetics of the Apple Watch and its weird UI. Fitness trackers are a different thing, they're more like cousins to these smartwatches.
