Luxor, 28 Dec 2017That because they are using LCD screen without backlight. It improves battery life significant... moreI wonder if it's really without backlight. The wearer will at some point in time need to check it in a dark or poorly illuminated place and I really doubt, based on the display as seen in the pictures, that there's absolutely no illumination.

It also states on the product website that it uses "sunlight-visible, transflective 8 color memory-in-pixel (MIP)". Though I have no idea what exactly it means, I have a feeling it's similar to eInk displays.

Anonymous, 27 Dec 2017And I thought my Mi Band 2 had a good battery life. Whoa, a year. Well, your Mi Band 2 has heart rate monitor which is a huge plus compared to this one!
and heart rate monitors eat battery like crazy...

It's cheap enough for me to actually consider trying it.
But I definitley don't have high expectations...

Sushant Sic, 27 Dec 2017One Year Battery Life? What exactly does it mean? I am not sure if your asking, or being sarcastic or ....etc
                      Anyway answering your question
It means that you don't have to charge it two times or even one time a week unlike other trackers that need to be charged
This also means someone can put it on their wrist and don't take it off for a long time.
No need for additional chargers or cables .
                      No stress about charging it.

Only 1 year of battery, very bad why are not 2 years?

There is always someone who is not happy.

P.S. excellent product for which you look for something like what they offer

Ya interesting with a 1+ year of charge. I wonder if they have some sort of gravity engaged charging system sort of like the self winding watches or if it receives a charge wirelessly some how? Interested to know how this is possible especially for 80 dollars.
